I have used Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones for six weeks as of this writing. Pros: I bought these headphones to use over my hearing aids. They are very comfortable. I travel frequently by car and airplane, and I find the noise cancelation to be excellent. I have tried all modes, quiet, aware, immersion, and a custom mode. While using the quiet mode on the airplane I could hear the pilot for the first time in years! In quiet or immersion mode you can hear a loud voice talking without the background noise which I find beneficial. For the hearing impaired, I wish you could increase the volume of the voices without increasing the background noise. It would also be nice to increase the volume of each ear independently. These headphones are not meant to be a replacement for a hearing aid, but no brand of hearing aid provides noise cancellation like these. I find myself wearing them in noisy environments over my hearing aids to better hear. One of the more useful modes for hearing voices without background noise is a custom mode with only wind block on. Cons: The headphones could do a better job of sensing when they are on your head. Too frequently I must move them around on my head when the music stops. Don’t put your fingers near the joint where the earpieces rotate. I have pinched my fingers one too many times. 5 |

I got these headphones when I pre-ordered my S20 and these are quite the step up from the last year models in my opinion. The batteries (headphones and case) are much longer, more features are unlocked within the wearable app, the ambient mode is far better this year, and the touch controls are much more responsive. The audio is also pretty great especially if you turn on Dolby Atmos and the Dynamic mode in the wearable app. When calling people can hear me much better and I can hear them. One thing I am sad about is that they don't have active noise cancelling, just the seal it creates which isn't the same. I've seen people get mad about not being able to open the case with one hand, that's stupid in my opinion, opening the case is easy and if you know what you're doing you can open the case with one hand. All in all great headphones!! 5 |

The design and features of the QuietComfort Ultra headphones are an improvement from the previous models. These headphones are modern, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. The headphones are lightweight and portable, so it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time. As a graduate student, I rely on the noise cancellation feature of my headphones so I can study in any environment. I mainly use the Quiet mode when I am in loud environments like a coffee shop, but I am able to navigate to the other two modes with ease when needed. I especially enjoy the immersive audio mode when I am listening to music or watching videos/movies on my phone or laptop. It truly has a long lasting battery life compared to the QC 35 or 45. With the Bose Music app, pairing the headphones with devices and making adjustments is easy. The call quality is quite clear with no voice distortions. The only thing I had to get used to was swiping along the volume strip to control the volume as there is no physical button like the previous models. Based on the design, sound quality, functionality, and features of the Ultra headphones, I would highly recommend this pair of Bose headphones. 5 |

Like most people, certain events call for certain genres of music. I love R&B-Soul when I’m a date night but I’ll take the Classic Rock/Rap music when I’m tossing the weights around in the gym. The clarity and feedback that I receive in sound from these headphones are astoundingly good. I literally feel like I’m in my own world once I put these on and go into immersion mode. The music is trapped within my ears and with still/motion mode, I can dictate whether the sound travel to the pace of my movements. Going from Aware mode to Quiet mode is like turning any and all distractions off. Not a peep, even from the loud train that zooms by my apartment complex on the daily. The sleekness, aluminum design, comfort, is all a bonus to the Ultra’s performance. I love the bold black and white creamed colors and I only expect Bose to release more colors in the near future. Aesthetics give it a nice blend of both the Quiet Comfort and Bose 700 headphones. I am extremely impressed with the stability and comfort as I go through high intensity, functional based exercises. For any athlete looking to perform their absolute best without worrying of their headphones falling off or the ear cusps moving around, I guarantee that problem is officially solved. I can take a sledgehammer to a tire, jump on 50 in vertical boxes, do high intensity agility runs, all without disrupting any bit of sound. Overall, if perfection had an image in the dictionary, i am almost sure these would be the main image! 5 |
