Sony Headphones Images Download

You get what you pay for, the transfer speed on this thing is amazing! When I first received the Sony reader I did an amateur test for speed. I took my current card and selected the first 100 images to download to the computer, these were from my 33mp a7iv Sony. With the Sony card reader it took 1 minute, 9 seconds. I then selected the same 100 images to download from my old card reader. After 1 minute, 9 seconds it had only downloaded 15 of the 100 images, wow. I cover sporting events, concerts, and other high image count photo shoots. Nothing worse than having time to read War & Peace or the dictionary while waiting for the images to download. Thank you B&H for suggesting this is as an add-on-sale to the order I placed.

The capacity of the card helps a lot when traveling, especially when you can not download the images.

This headset is very good. For context - I am upgrading from the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II. Operating the headphones is not intuitive and quite different from the QC 35 II. It pays to download the manual which can be found in the Overview tab (you can download it from the Bose website as well). It takes practice to master the equipment, but it is well worth the effort. You will have to download a new APP from the App store. It takes some fiddling to get it working with the headset. There are lots of features (shortcuts, immersive audio etc.) that I don't use because all I want to do is connect to the television and turn on the noise cancellation. I have found that controlling the Ultra with the App is a lot easier than using the fiddly little buttons. The volume strip control works just fine however, just make sure your finger isn't greasy. I am quite happy I bought the Bose QC Ultra headphones.

I have started on my project (30-50K images) starting with prints from the 70’s. Getting good quality scans, only regret is I considered the 12000 series flatbed scanner, and considered the price went with the V850. Downside is the limited number of prints that I can place on the scanner at one time. As noted in previous reviews there is a tendency to crop the image if it is place at the edge of the glass. As such depending on the print format I can only scan 3-8 images at a time. Hopefully will start on transparencies within 2 months (most of my archive is 35mm Ektachrome and SFW with a fair amount of 4x5). Software bundled with the unit is not usable for 2020 Mac, obtained drivers from Epson (be careful what you download, Epson has an issue with OS11, calls it 10.15 in some instances, X-rite software not supported but call to them got me a download of the current color calibration software. Have not used Silverfast, have yet to figure out how to get a download base on what shipped from Epson. Currently scanning with Photoshop/Lightroom and hope to use VueScan once I start with transparencies. All in all happy with unit but in retrospect the larger scanner would have made my workflow easier, and that will be an option for the future.

Bought the cable to download images from new Cannon camera as the camera kit did not include one. Sturdy, well made cable will look for this brand again.

The Card Reader really makes it easy to download images from the Camera to the Computer. It is very fast, inexpensive and does not reqire connecting the camera to the computer via USB Port.

Downloading images onto a PC with this reader takes less than 1/3 of the time it takes to download the images directly from the camera over an HDMI cable.
