Sony Headphones Time

I used to wear my Sony Pro Headphones all the time... but these are so much more comfortable and easier to work with while editing in my home studio.

I needed to replace the ear pads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones - this for the second time... I use them to monitor audio levels during production. The originals and previous replacements wore out quickly, leaving flakey black plastic bits all over my head, face and ears. NOT acceptable. I am trusting that Sheepskin leather will hold up much better.

I've never spent so much money on headphones, especially as I purchased with the top of the range Sony portable DAC (NW-WM1Z), and i did so because i wanted to know for myself if the reviews are real. I'm no audiophile, but i have been blown away time and time again, literally...laugh out loud experiences are continual. I have nearly 5000 albums and i'm slowly working through them like i'm hearing them for the first time. To Sony - thank you so much for investing in the R&D and team to allow them to create such an array of products that for those of us willing to make the financial sacrifices can enjoy. I've never liked a product so much, and i'll continue to be an ardent follow of all future Sony hi-res audio equipment, this entire experience for me was unique and mind blowing and i just can't wait to go to bed every night to escape into my music. I'm obsessed with listening to anything and everything on these headphones. And every day i'm amazed...its a gift that keeps on giving. Just WOW. Great pair of headphones for field video production monitoring. These are comparable to the Sony MDR-7506 Headphones. I have a hard time finding any difference in quality between the two and I've been using the Sony ones for quite a while now. One thing that really sets this apart is that it comes with two interchangeable cables. One cable is a 3ft straight cable(perfect for monitoring handheld camera work), but also included in the box is a 10ft coiled cable. My only complaint is that this pair of Senal headphones does not come with a carry pouch and the Sony one does.. but if you really want a pouch you can buy it separately here's the time number.. #SESMHPOUCH Overall, Great sound, foldable, quality build, cheaper then the sony model hands down.. Great value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time user of Sony headphones, I have to say that I am very impressed. These headphones as soft and comfortable to wear for long periods. The sound is absolutely amazing and pulls you into it. When using these headphones I feel like I am sitting right there at the concerts I listen too. The battery life on these are so long! Better than I could ever imagine! I love these so much I find myself using it more and more everyday.

Time to replace these pads for my Sony headphones after three years daily use, lots of handling. They are shredding around the edges where I grab them to mount/remove headphones. Natural sheepskin seems more breathable than synthetic materials on other models of Auray pads.

In the last few years it seems that Sony has a problem with the earpads on 7506 headphones. They won't stay in place and you take the phones off. As a field audio tech, sometimes you don't have time to pull an earpad back on when you're on the run, so you wind up with no pad until you get a moment. That could be quite some time with metal on your ear. These pads seem to fit snugly and have yet to come off.

Great Case for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I used the bag that came with the headphones for a long time, but was worried about hauling around to different locations. This case is solid and protects my headphones the way I need. It does tend to slip and slightly collapse on the sides where the zipper is located, but it still protects.

My Sony headphones look like new! AMAZING!!!
