Sony Home Cinema Receiver Headphone Jack Sizes

It does exactly what I need. I have a high end stereo receiver and speakers connected to my iMac computer analog audio output (headphone) jack. The receiver also is connected to several other analog audio sources. I have had persistent issues with hum in the audio from the computer. I tried all sorts of things, floating grounds, reversing plugs etc and nothing worked. putting the HE-18 in line with the computer completely eliminated the hum with no adverse side effects to the audio quality. I really appreciate the flexibility of all the various input and output connections. I now have a convenient extra port where I can plug in headphones for private listening when needed. (Unlike the idiots at Apple who put the headphone jack on the back of the iMac. What were they thinking?) The engineer who designed the HE18 deserves a lot of credit. He really did his homework. 5 |

We have a high end A/V receiver with only one headphone jack, and two sets of headphes with different impedance levels. Using a passive splitter resulted in one set of headphones being much louder than the other. This amp is the perfect solution. Small (important in an apartment), does the job with no perceptable difference in audio quality, and way less expensive than comparable units. I also like that the output jacks are in front. Makes connecting and disconnecting headphones easy. We mainly use the unit for home theater after our little one has gone to bed, so we can enjoy movies and TV without waking her. The only negative, and this is purely subjective, is that I'd prefer knobs to sliders, but it's a minor quibble. Highly recommended. 5 |

I have had the receiver for a while and it works well with my home theatre system. I like that it comes on and shuts off with the TV. I would prefer jack plug ins for all the speakers instead of the bare wire hookup. 5 |

I use this product in voice over work and love the crystal clear reproduction. A bit bulky, but worth it. As a caveat, DO NOT try using this with a Sony Vaio laptop as you are unable to listen to the audio that has been recorded on the laptop using the Yeti headphone jack. Nor can you monitor what is being recorded from the Yeti while using the Vaio headphone jack, the Sony laptop is totally worthless for field recording and editing. 5 |

I've been a long-time Panasonic camera user, really loved their ease of use, ergonomics, and gorgeous color in stills and video. Last year I switched briefly to the pricey Sony RX10 II because it had a headphone jack for video, and it got pretty good reviews. Alas, I never liked it (complicated menus, non-pivoting LCD screen, dimmed screen in 4K mode, etc) and replaced it with the G85. I shoot both video and photos, and the G85 handles both very well. The kit lens is excellent, as is the 5-axis in body dual stabilization. Autofocus is good (not as acurate as Sony) but very satisfactory from my trials so far. I miss the headphone jack for video, but there are plenty of workarounds. The touchscreen is a must-have in my world, and works very well. Love the beefy handgrip and the clear, concise Menu. Best bang for the buck! 5 |

I ordered this amplifier to amplify my Sony LCD TV that had no headphone jack. Using the low level audio out RCA jacks the Pyle PTA2 works wonderfully to allow me to use just headphones. Being hearing impaired it certainly saved the day. It is always nice to buy from B&H Photo.......Haven't found any cons with the amplifier so far. 5 |

With TV's getting more accessible in the larger sizes the home cinema experience is coming more and more into people's homes. The one thing that has been missing is that all around sound experience. The ARC is a step up from the 5.1 systems we have become custom to and adds that extra layer of sound, space and placement. On top of the amazing sound experience the ARC is visually pleasing in a way that it does not distract you from the movie or show. You can tell from the craftsmanship and the level of details that this was designed with a passion for perfection. You will not be disappointed with ARC's sound experience, its visual experience and finally I believe you can now truly bring the Cinema home. 5 |
