Sony In Ear Gaming Headphones

Wouldn't choose any other over-ear headphones for day-day music/gaming at home. Excellent audio quality, incredibly comfortable; I can/do wear these for up to 12 hours a day, and they are so comfortable that I do not get heaphone-fatigue. You won't be disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are by far the best gaming headphones I have ever had. Sound is crystal clear and sounds have depth as if coming from the room and not on your ear. Headphones are completely wireless and battery lasts What feels like eternity! Headset has great volume control, but loudness is not needed with the noise cancelling ear cushions. Comfortability of the headset is also 5 stars from the first time I wore them to the 100th time.

Cheap, VERY comfortable, and despite *strong* bass, it's not overpowering. I bought these to use while gaming and as a second reference while mixing music. The bass is strong and definitely forward, but not overpowering. It's pleasing to the ear. The mids and high mids seem well balanced, which is where it matter most in my opinion. Build quality is good. Nothing cheap about them. I really have to say a second time how comfortable they are. My old studio monitor headphones were unbearable after about forty minutes. These can be worn for hours at a time with no discomfort at all. The faux leather on the ear cups is also holding up nicely after owning these for about two years. No cracking or fraying. I've owned a handful of headphones over the years for mixing, listening, and gaming and these are my favorites in terms of comfort by a factor of ten.

The sound quality is great, and the microphone quality is great. This is one of the most comfortable sets of over-ear headphones I've ever used. The battery life has been great so far, lasting for entire-day gaming sessions. I love the ability to both remove the mic, and also do flex and adjust it away from you if you need to drink. The mute button and volume wheel on the headset are a nice touch and make this a fantastic option for easy use during conference calls as well as gaming. My only gripe is that these don't have bluetooth connectivity, and can't be used with a device that doesn't take the USB dongle. I'd love to be able to switch these between my desktop and laptop/phone like I can with my G915 keyboard, and G-pro mouse - however, I usually use different headphones for music anyways. For the price point, this is a FANTASTIC set of headphones. I couldn't be happier.

I needed to replace the ear pads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones - this for the second time... I use them to monitor audio levels during production. The originals and previous replacements wore out quickly, leaving flakey black plastic bits all over my head, face and ears. NOT acceptable. I am trusting that Sheepskin leather will hold up much better.

The sound of this Sony ear-bud is exceptional for such a low cost! I have used these E9LP ear-bud headphones.... on the go for casual listening and at home critical listening and they do not disappoint! At such a low price, I own several pairs. I am very happy with the comfort and the high sound quality! Highly recommended...

This replacement ear pad is better than the original for my Sony MDR-V6 headphones. I use these for recording marching band contests and they are very comfortable.

The ear cups of my old Senal SMH -Series headphones were cracking and flaking, so I had to wipe the flecks of the old phones off my face after I used them. I got the deluxe velour ear pads and in a couple of minutes I replaced the old cushions. And by the way, Auray has a video that shows you the right way to do it. They're comfortable and don't get hot. Easy to install. Make sure your headphones have 1/6/40 mm drivers. Larger than that, and I don't think they'll fit. If you're using Sony Sony MDR-7506 in the studio and your talent is complaining that they're not comfortable after an hour or two, swap out the ear pads with these and the complaints will stop. A great buy for $14.

As a audiophile I have other headphones I prefer if I want to simply listen to music however as a pro AV tech, this Sony MDR-7506 is the ONLY headphones I want when doing any kind of pro use from checking a mic line in a live mixing situation to mixing audio for video, this is my choice headphone. The Sony sound is flat, not a lot of bass but is exactly whats needed when mixing as you want flat. The isolation is good when blocking outside sounds and I find the Sony will hold up to pro use, except the ear pads those are replaceable, I would suggest go ahead and order the extra ear pads as you will need them. I have been using my original set of Sony MDR-7506 at least 12 years of pro work and are simply fantastic! Never a short or any problems but I am on my 4th or 5th set of ear pads as in a pro situation I am very hard on these phones. You may find a better sounding headphone but when mixing or using in the field for anything pro AV, this is the headphones to buy!

I love these headphones. As stated in the title, I replaced my Shure SE215 in-ear monitors with these. I used Shure IEM's for traveling because of the high sound isolation provided by the triple flange ear tips. I decided to go a different direction with these because all my other headphones are Sony and I've always preferred the sound of Sony. I use Sony IEMs and Sony over-ear headphones for producing, mixing, and mastering music to give you an idea of my sound preference and experience with critical listening. The noise cancellation in the WI-1000XM2 is very comparable to the sound isolation of the Shure's. I would say with the proper fit, the noise cancellation is better, unquestionably in the low frequencies. The sound of the WI-1000XM2 is excellent. Slightly bright but not overbearing and certainly not lacking in bass. Detailed, clear, and balanced. I've already used them for traveling and love them, especially on planes. This is my first neckband headphone and it doesn't bother me. I might even say I prefer it as they can remain around my neck without constant stowing. Also, the cords to the earpieces are short won't tangle :) The build quality is excellent. I highly recommend them!
