Sony Laser Projector 10K Lumen

i wore out my SONY UST laser projector light source (running it 19,000 hours in 6 years) and replaced the projector with the SONY 98" TV. the loss of screen size (from 118" to 98") was more than compensated for by the amazing brillance of the picture.

I did my homework before settling on this projector. I was looking at 3 price points. Low ($1200), Mid ($3000), High ($6000). For the High I wanted the Sony entry laser projectors (but I think this one is even better than the entry laser projector from what I read in professional reviews). This project was at the high end of the Mids but after reading many reviews from AV professionals, when they say that this is their favorite projector and another said that the picture is almost as good as the Sony $40K laser projectors I had to try it out. And it does not disappoint. Everything that you think and expect in a great image, it has. I run at a medium bulb power and it looks awesome (in a dark room). Just read the pro reviews and you will settle on this one for the price point. I was not a fan of pixel shifting or DLP but this projector won me over.

I bought this to replace my Sony VPL-PWZ10, that wore out its laser. This was a comparable projector, with a few upgrades. Most notable was the contrast is much improved as is the picture clarity. B&H offers the best purchase experience. I order it on a Friday afternoon in Colorado, and they shipped it on Monday, and I got it on Tuesday. It was a pleasure to deal with a reputable company after ordering it from another company and waiting 2 weeks.

Using to store/transport a 3500 lumen ultra short throw projector with an integrated mirror.. Pelican Case holds it securely with no worries that it will be jarred in transport or storage.. Build quality is excellent and the foam inserts were easy to customize for the perfect fit.

Unlike other retailers who are still selling older 500 lumen versions, B&H is shipping the newer 600 lumen version and it is the standard to judge by. Green laser is great. Sharp dot and holds point of aim. I have this on AR at 6'oclock position and it is rock solid and swapping rail insert is super simple. It comes with regular universal and wider piccatiny. I had never used a green laser before. It is indeed easier to see in daylight and one thing I realized is that it is good to have laser in different color when using a red dot scope. Looking through Aimpoint at 2 moa dot, can look like there are two equal dots at certain distances. Important to know which is which for proper compensation.

The EF12 Smart Streaming Laser Projector is better than I expected. The clarity, color, video speed, sound quality and easy to setup. The projector is exactly what I have been looking to buy for years. I also purchased the carrying case and it is worth the money. I expected a cheap bag, this is very high quality. I have recommended this projector to my family and friends. I can wait for summer for outdoor movie night in the backyard.

Bag is just the right size for our new Panasonic PT-VZ580U 5000-Lumen WUXGA 3LCD Projector: holds it in place, easy to get in & out, roomy pockets for cables, remote, user manual, etc, & grip handles or over-the-shoulder strap.

After purchasing a 6000 lumen video projector that would be subjected to the road, it was a no brainer to choose a Pelican case for maximum protection. The case is waterproof, sturdy and elegant and thanks to the superb recommendations from the B&H staff my financial investment will safe and sound.

This is a genuine OEM package of an NEC lamp and filters. To save money, I originally purchased a 3rd party replacement lamp at less than half the price, and it seemed fine (if a little dim). Just how dim became ridiculously apparent when I happened to use a 2200-lumen projector which blew away the alleged 5000-lumen 3rd party bulb in brightness! Forget buying a cheap bulb -- if you bought a 5000-lumen projector, get the display you paid for with a genuine NEC bulb.

Purchased this as a mobile presentation unit after previously using a 3500 lumen Viewsonic projector that was more expensive. This was not only noticeably brighter but also had significantly better color contrast.
