Believe all those rave reviews for the RX100 VII. I've been shooting with Sony's 6000 series for a number of years, including the 6500. The RX100 VII matches the 6500 in most ways and adds a 200 mm zoom. No, you can't use all your lenses, but most of the time you don't need them. For previous Sony users the transition is seamless, as the controls and menu basically replicate the 6000 series. Autofocus is ridiculously fast, and exposure metering superb. Most pictures are tack-sharp without flaring or sun spots. It's small, of course, and takes some getting used to for those of us with regular adult size hands. But I find it easy to work with. Very pleased. 5 |

I use this with a Sony EX1 and Sandisk class 10 SDHC cards. The performance has been great. Make sure you have updated your firmware to get the best results. This has been reliable and just as fast as SXS cards. 5 |

This is an updated review: Using on my Sony a99ii. Very easy to use. Make sure your firmware is up to date, set your flash control to wireless and you are good to go. As a lifetime Minolta/Sony shooter I have been waiting for this kind of support for our products. The HSS is everything I thought it could be and no more using ND filters and 1/200 sync. You can shoot up to 1/8000. This opens the door to so many more types of shoots. I recommend this completely. 5 |
