We have a couple of pairs of Sony MDR-7506's around and one of my team calls them the "AK47" of headphones. Reliable, indestructible, and they just work. When I picked these Senal's up- on a B&H daily deal, and they showed up- he said- "Look like they came out of the same mold as the Sony" which may be correct. As to comparing the audio specs for listening to music- I can't tell you squat. I use them with our video camera to shoot talking heads- and they work just fine. The best part- which may be a curse over time, we'll see, is that they have interchangeable cords. I LOVE the short cord while shooting. It stays out of the way- and doesn't get caught on things. For this alone- I'd buy them again and again. I'm hoping it holds up. But, then again if the Sony cord goes bad- good bye entire headphone. I was a bit disappointed they didn't come with a headphone pouch. But- other than that- these rock. 5 |

I bought these for my Sony MDR-7506's becasue I was tired of walking around with black dandruff on my face and neck from the old earpads. Since I wear them every day I decided to splurge a little on these. I'm glad I did. I like them better than the originals. They feel better and I think they sound slightly better as well. I have also noticed they are a bit cooler than the originals. If they last any reasonable length of time I will be buying another set of these when the time comes. 5 |

I got my first MDR-7506 headphone about fifteen years ago and it still sounds clean and robust like the day I bought it. I know this because I just bought my second 7506 headphone and when I compare them side-by-side, the sound is identical. It perfectly represents the signal being sent to it which makes it a great production and post-production monitor. The size adjustment make for a great, comfortable fit, and the included 1/4 TRS adapter fits tightly on the 3.5mm connector to insure versatility. 5 |

My old MDR-7506 headphone ear pads are starting to wear, and shows visible cracks. It's been more than a few years, so I figured I would try these CanSkins Earcup covers. These are covers, in other words, they go over your existing pads. They are NOT complete replacement earcups ! I have found the sound is still excellent, and I didn't want to replace my headphones, which are nearly 100.00. I would recommend, but just remember they cover your existing ear pads. For the price and excellent buy. 5 |

The MDR-7506 is a great set of headphone, but the pads that come on them are terrible. They break down fairly quickly and start to flake off, leaving debris in the user’s ears. These velour earpads are much more comfortable, and they don’t flake. This is an absolute must for the 7506 headphones. 5 |

The Sony MDR-7506 phones come with a soft bag.....not bad, but not as good as this hard case. They fit into it easily. It's inexpensive headphone protection that works well. 5 |
