Sony Mdr 7506 Headphone Replacement Parts

We have a couple of pairs of Sony MDR-7506's around and one of my team calls them the "AK47" of headphones. Reliable, indestructible, and they just work. When I picked these Senal's up- on a B&H daily deal, and they showed up- he said- "Look like they came out of the same mold as the Sony" which may be correct. As to comparing the audio specs for listening to music- I can't tell you squat. I use them with our video camera to shoot talking heads- and they work just fine. The best part- which may be a curse over time, we'll see, is that they have interchangeable cords. I LOVE the short cord while shooting. It stays out of the way- and doesn't get caught on things. For this alone- I'd buy them again and again. I'm hoping it holds up. But, then again if the Sony cord goes bad- good bye entire headphone. I was a bit disappointed they didn't come with a headphone pouch. But- other than that- these rock.

I had recently bought stock replacement earpads for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. They didn't last long. i bought these Auray sheepskin replacements and WOW! Feel way better, look nicer, are much more comfortable and only cost a little bit more than stock. I highly recommend these.

Got 2 sets of these as replacement earpads for our Sony MDR-7506 headphones that we use for interviews and post production. perfect fit, excellent comfort. Better than originals!

The earpads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones started flaking off and had to be replaced, and these are a great replacement: they are inexpensive, well made, and fit perfectly. Getting them on is not fun and took a couple of minutes, but my headphones are enjoyable and functional again.

I recently had to stop wearing my SONY MDR-7506's because the nearly new replacement pads started peeling like an onion. What a mess. I don't remember where I got them but they just did NOT last and also kept turning and slipping on the headphones. Not a good pair. Enter Auray. I was just about to see about finding another pair of pads when a B&H Photo ad appeared to the right of my computer screen while I was surfing the net and a pair of SONY replacement pads was pictured. Viola! I clicked on the ad and was taken to B&H (I've bought lots of things from B&H). I saw the Auray line of replacement pads; standard, thick, velour and sheepskin. Although the sheepskin is the most expensive, I'd never seen genuine leather replacements for the SONY's before. I decided to go for the best and ordered two pairs. Being in the business for many years, I have 4 MDR-7506's laying around and thought I'd start with two pair. When they came, I could smell the quality leather. The pulled off the old pads and mounted these on my headphones. They seem much easier to mount and anyone who owns 7506's knows how difficult and frustrating the process can be. Not only that, but there's more around the edges of these pads to insert into the crease and stay there. They don't slip and slide and pop out. What I'm saying is, THESE REPLACEMENT PADS ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! They make your 7506's seem like a more expensive set of cans. That leather smell is screams quality. I'm sure the other models from Auray for the SONY's are just as nice but for me, I am sooo impressed by these sheepskin pads! I ordered three more pairs yesterday and am sure they'll last for YEARS. Great fit, great hold great LOOK and very comfortable...and...GREAT SMELL. THESE ARE the PADS for YOU. I would give SIX stars if I could.

I had been looking for replacement pads for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. Came across these and figured I would give them a shot. They were a little tough to put on (don't be afraid to stretch them a bit...) but once on they were comfortable. I'm happy :-)

The earpads on my (excellent) Sony MDR-7506 headphones wore out and I was about to recycle them, when I found these replacement earpads. Buy the deluxe version - they are better than the original plastic pads on the Sony 7506.

Bought these as a replacement for earpads on my Sony MDR-7506, but they are really an upgrade because they feel more comfortable and more durable than the original pads. I highly recommend them.
