I needed to replace the ear pads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones - this for the second time... I use them to monitor audio levels during production. The originals and previous replacements wore out quickly, leaving flakey black plastic bits all over my head, face and ears. NOT acceptable. I am trusting that Sheepskin leather will hold up much better. 5 |

This replacement ear pad is better than the original for my Sony MDR-V6 headphones. I use these for recording marching band contests and they are very comfortable. 5 |

As a audiophile I have other headphones I prefer if I want to simply listen to music however as a pro AV tech, this Sony MDR-7506 is the ONLY headphones I want when doing any kind of pro use from checking a mic line in a live mixing situation to mixing audio for video, this is my choice headphone. The Sony sound is flat, not a lot of bass but is exactly whats needed when mixing as you want flat. The isolation is good when blocking outside sounds and I find the Sony will hold up to pro use, except the ear pads those are replaceable, I would suggest go ahead and order the extra ear pads as you will need them. I have been using my original set of Sony MDR-7506 at least 12 years of pro work and are simply fantastic! Never a short or any problems but I am on my 4th or 5th set of ear pads as in a pro situation I am very hard on these phones. You may find a better sounding headphone but when mixing or using in the field for anything pro AV, this is the headphones to buy! 5 |

This is one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The refined sound signature is something that really agrees with my listening preference, practically no listening fatigue with them at all. At the same time, it's very involving with a wide and tall soundstage, rich textural mids and vocals and great bass and sub-bass extension, when called for. Perfect for any music genre really. The design and comfort is absolutely top notch as well. Note, if you prefer headphones with very strong highs/treble, these are not for you. The treble is accurate, yet laid back compared to other headphones which seem to need to shoot the treble in to your ears in the guise of being 'high resolution'. Sony really stepped it up in all respects with their Z1R headphones. They're made in an in-house artisan department within Sony as well, not mass produced. Comprehensive but not complete list of all headphones I own and have owned: Sony MDR-Z1R Audioquest Nighthawk Shozy Zero earbuds Bose QC-25 Apple Ear Pods (hate them for music, only use for phone calls/podcasts) PREVIOUSLY OWNED: Focal Utopia (loaner) Focal Elear Sennheiser HD800 S Sony MDR-Z7 Cardas A8 Ear Speakers Audeze LCD-3 Beats Executive Denon AHGC20 AKG Q701 AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition Audeze LCD-2 Cardas Ear Speakers V-Moda Crossfade M100 Accidentally Extraordinary 51st Studio Audio-Technica ATH-M50 BeyerDynamic DT880 Premium Beats Pro Fostex TH900 Sony MDR-1r Sennheiser HD600 Sennheiser HD800 Sennheiser HD598 Denon D7000 Denon D5000 Ultrasone Pro 900 S Klipsch X10 Earbuds Sony MDR-7506 Sony MDR-V6 Grado SR60 5 |

After my 30-year old Sony MDR CD50's ear cushions became non existent, I decided to give these headphones a shot. 1. Great "flat" response 2. Ideal for music production with DAW 3. Good for recording vocal with their minimal leak 4. Very much affordable for anyone 5. Comfortable to wear for extended periods of time 6. Foldable and come with their own "gig bag" Overall, I strongly recommend these headphones - you will be very happy with their performance. 5 |

I've had my Sony MDR-7506 headphones for ten years or so, and the original ear-pieces flaked off a couple of years in. Not sure why I waited so long to replace them. I've seen some complaints about these being too small, and while they certainly are smaller than the OEM earpads, they're plenty comfortable for me and I had no trouble getting them on the headphones. These are my go-to monitoring and mixing headphones, and they're much more comfortable and effective with this purchase. 5 |

The ear pads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones had become cracked and the outer layer was peeling. These were easy to replace and are more comfortable than the originals. 5 |

Sony MDR-7506's are awesome headphones but what do you do when the original ear pads give out before the drivers do? Get these! Easy to install and better than the original pads. What I like about the deluxe model is that they've replaced the stock faux-leather surface with a soft felt covering. Great external sound dampening and comfort - PLUS... no more sweaty head when using them for long listening times. Great product! 5 |

I use these earpads with rather old Sony MDR-V6 headphones. I have found them to be very comfortable. 5 |

Sony MDR-7506 Headphones are one of the most prestigious headphones for audio production for a reason. Highs, mids, and lows are crystal clear and I'm able to wear these for hours without the ear pain. Could not recommend these headphones enough. 5 |
