Sony Mirrorless Camera Low Light Video

Good that I waited for Nikon to release its first Mirrorless camera and they just killed it !!! Z6 is the Best Mirrorless camera of 2018. I bought it via B&H Photo Video along with adapter and 24-70 f4 lens and its the sharpest lens and this camera has vibrant colors and the auto-focus & subject tracking is the best in both Photo/Video. Also, its one of best continuous auto focus camera which Nikon has produced for Video and it tracks the subject very well. If u are the Nikon shooter then u should grab it immediately. Its low light capability is another powerful feature and its in par with Sony alpha series. I used Sony A7III before for around 4-5 months and I must say that Nikon Z6 is better than Sony cameras. Glad that I waited for Nikon Mirrorless cameras. Battery performance is great but not the best - I was able to get around 700 raw files with one battery and thats almost double than what they mentioned in the advertisement ie. around 350 plus pics. Anyway I got 2 extra batteries for this camera so that i can shoot more photo/video diring events. ——- Downside —— Single XQD memory card slot but thats ok as i can take a risk on it. Never seen failure in my SD cards since i started photography in 2013 so I can take that risk.

The Sony a7 IV mirrorless camera is almost the perfect balance between a photographer's optimal tool and a videographer's first choice for an A- or B-roll camera. The Sony engineers have incorporated almost every wish-list item in this unit and have done so at a very attractive price point. Nearly every reviewer routinely raves about this camera and those negative points (crop mode in 4K 60 and rolling shutter) are merely quibbles in squinting to try to find something with which to find fault. None of these faults are a problem in my real world. I can think of no camera in my lifetime that fulfills almost every need of both the still and video shooter. If you are a still photographer, this unit may open your eyes to the wonders of video. And vice versa. I can recommend this camera without reservation.

Camera take really nice pictures and video. Video is of a wide angle type. Low light settings camera gets a little grainy. Screen on back of camera is a plus. Menu on camera a little tricky to navigate, but not to bad. Plenty of mounts come with it. Overall this is a great little camera for the price.

IMO, Nikon did well with this mirrorless generation using their experience gained as one of the first prime-time digital companies with the D1 and D100, to the ground-breaking D3 and several generations of the Nikon 1 mirrorless system. The files out the gate even at 24 mp are phenomenal! Low light images easy to process. It's like Nikon's done all the work to get you great files and it's just a matter of fine-tuning once you start processing them. Initial set-up took little time and within a couple of days, my fingers mapped easily to the controls and I was off and running. Size and weight are about right, a little larger and heavier than my m43 system in hand, but the files are much nicer! Autofocus? With the 2.0 update, no issues for my work so far, usually in dark churches with Hail Mary lighting. With my shift lenses in the field, the focus peaking makes tilting a breeze! The viewfinder is bright and I really can't see any of the pixels in the display. Noise? Silent in the church and even with the mechanical shutter, much better than most cameras. But what's the best thing? The image quality! Even at 24mp, a 16x24 looks spectacular on paper! Low light? As good so far as the D3s and probably better since there's double the pixels and a couple more generations newer sensor and electronics. Will this replace my D3/D3s & D700? More than likely. Better IQ, smaller, lighter, larger files. Battery life? Much better than stated, not as good as the D700/D800 using the same batteries, but much, much better than my m43. I shoot a day and have power to burn with the Z6. The m43, 3-4 batteries/day is typical. All and all, ergonomics, set-up, use and images a huge success for Nikon!
