Sony Mirrorless Camera Vs Nikon Dslr

2024-06-09 08:45:34

This is the third camera in my household. I have used Nikon DSLR and Sony mirrorless but my wife wanted a small size camera for taking baby and dog pics with good portability. As you know, they move fast in everywhere. This camera is good enough to capture good images under not only outside daylight but also inside fluorescent light with bright lens and high ISO. Based on my opinion, ISO up to 2000 makes very acceptable results without much noise. I have loved using my Nikorr and Zeiss lenses but this pocket sized camera is also very good one for carrying everywhere even with a lot of baby stuffs. This will be beyond your expectations as a point-and-shoot camera. Only cons that I can pick is probably battery doesn't last very long so you'd better keep extra battery in case more than 1 night trip.

This is my first mirrorless camera. I also own Nikon DSLR's. I chose the Sony A6000 because of it's amazing reviews and the fact that this camera seems to be a legend in its class. I believe this camera came out in 2014 and is still being sold in 2020 even though additional models have been introduced by Sony. That's relatively unheard of in this era of digital cameras. Great camera and very pleased with it.

I moved from a Nikon D7100 DSLR to a Sony A6000 mirrorless and am loving it. Much smaller and much lighter with the same quality shots. Also much better video with the live view through the viewfinder. These Nissin flashes work great with the Air 1 Commander for much less cost than the Nikon equivalents and include radio transmission instead of optical!

Shot for many years with the Nikon D750 and wanted to upgrade. I know everything is going mirrorless, however I have 5 lenses for my DSLR which has been a great camera. So I decided to stick with the DSLR's and upgrade to one of the greatest cameras ever made. Glad I did. Only been out shooting a few times so far but this Nikon D850 is simple put - One Great Camera. Maybe someday when Nikon makes an affordable D850 type mirrorless camera I just may make a change. For now, my D750 backup for my New D850 will suit me just fine. Great Camera even in 2022.

I've had a sony camera when they first came out with their mirrorless DSLR version years ago. Upgraded to a new model and it works very nice so far.

I changed my camera from Canon DSLR to Sony mirrorless. I also considered FSB4 to be lighter than the FSB8 fluid head that I was using, but I found this ACE-XL head and purchased it. I am trying to reduce the weight by attaching this head to a Gitzo type 3 tripod. This is 1kg lighter than the FSB8, yet the payload is 8kg. Even with the combination of 600mm F4 + A9, it still works with a great balance.

My camera is a Sony Alpha II, which is a very good mirrorless dslr, that takes movies as well. Of course the built in mic is minimal. I tried it out for real at a house concert, with serious audio equipment, and an audience of about 50. The two mics were both pointed at the artist, so it was not really sterio. The sound quality was quite presentable on the external stereo speakers driven from my laptop. My intention is iTunes and Facebook use, not making studio quality audio so it clearly does the job for me.

I had shot with dslr'some up until I got this camera. I had heard about mirrorless, and the translucent mirrors the Sony cameras have. Decided to pull the trigger on this one after much research, and when I friend told me he had the GH4 and really liked panasonic. I loved it so much I instantly bought another one. I shoot short marketing videos for different social media platforms. This camera works great for me, it light weight, and durable. I dropped it in the snow the other day while shooting a promo video for a local skate shop on the ski hill. I was terrified, but I quickly blew off the snow, (and it was covered) and it was fine. Love it recommend it. If you have any other questions let me know.

I have been a DSLR shooter for years and always shot with the same brand. Making the move to the mirrorless world was a bit questionable for me. After watching countless video reviews, reading up on multiple mirrorless camera brands, and comparing them all, I decided to give the Sony A6000 a try. I was not disappointed at all! In fact, it has far exceeded my expectations from a camera of this size. As my headline states, expect the unexpected from this camera. Auto-focus is extremely fast and for the most part spot on to what I want it focused on. The 11fps shooting is crazy and very reliable. The fact that this is an interchangable lens mirrorless (as opposed to some of the others) was a big selling point for me. Also, the ability to shoot in RAW and complete manual control is a must on any camera for me...the Sony did not disappoint. The color SOOC from this little gem is accurate and beautiful. For anyone still hesitant about moving to mirrorless I would definitely recommend giving the A6000 a chance to impress you.
