Sony Open Location 2024

I had been wearing trekz from 2020-2024 and loved them except for the crappy microphone and their fragility when traveling. They finally broke while in a backpack, so I tried the Open Air Fits. The Open Air Fits have a nice small case to keep them safe when not in use, the sound quality is *much* better, and the mic still works well after a few weeks of regular use! They are comfortable enough that I use them for everything from remote work calls to podcasts during chores. They fit well enough to stay put for running too! Love these.

To shoot the 2024 total solar eclipse, I wanted a remote way to trigger my Sony 10 RX4's exposure-autobracking feature every five seconds or so. The camera requires the shutter to be held down during the full bracketing series, so the remote has to act both as an intervalometer and a bulb-like shutter control. The ShutterBoss has both capabilities. It is also very intuitive to set up. Rehearsing showed it would have worked great if clouds hadn't completely obscured totality at my location.

Easy to open and use, just keep in mind the size, this one is kind of big, so, just know what you want to use it for... Most of my uses are On location portraits, and for bouncing the light from the on camera flash...

I've only done tests on location with these before the shoot I've been planning next week... These lenses have a dreamy, droopy, anamorphic look wide open, but I wouldn't suggest using them wide open unless you need a dreamy look. Super soft wide open. At T2.8 it gets better but T4 is where it actually gets sharp. For more context, I'm shooting on a C70, and we know that camera is on the softer side... Aperture/Focus rings are smooth and a pleasure to use. Focus breathing is not great, but depending on the shot your going after, it could be ok. They do some funky things when panning or handheld. I plan to use these lenses mostly locked off, on a slider, dolly, etc for nice smooth controlled shots with an artistic look. Definitely recommend.

Softbox is awesome!!! Fold and open fast and easy. Great outdoors or on location. Also found a ring that would fit my alien-bee perfect for in the church for wedding formals. Just used it for a first communion work perfect. Cant beat the price. Thanks

I do a lot of shoots on location, so I need to set up and tear down the softboxes each time. These pop open and are ready to go in under a minute, a huge time saver.

I have used these umbrellas for location work for many years. Quickly snap open and mount on lights Just right size to work in close to subject or across the room . Durable and long lasting.
