I am using this on my Sony HVR-HD1000U to hold a Sennsenheiser End G2 kit along with a Sony HVR-MRC-1K and it does a great job. I will say that you need to be careful to not turn to quick depending how you mount those items. Over all it is great and allows me to keep a on camera light attached up front. 5 |

As an ex professional camera assistant with major credits, I can say that I bought this stand as much for nostalgia as for ruggedness and proven versatility on set. I love Mathews stuff and it's really the standard for grip equipment in the USA and Canada. You can do far more with this C-stand than a light stand and Mathews are the best.
