As a production professional, I'm not an audio tech, and so I dragged my feet on purchasing a Countryman lav for *years*. I didn't want to deal with it, so I just figured I wouldn't invest. But a wireless Sony kit sat around unused in my garage for about a year, and after that I had a few travel jobs that called for me to up the ante on audio, so I went for it. This mic is a SCREAMIN' deal. It's far better than even the onboard Sony lavaliere, and a far smaller profile. Don't want a dumb lav sitting in the middle of your interview frame? No problem! The Countryman is easy to hide and sandwich in gaff tape, audio sounds clear with a crisp response and a variety of 'heads', and honestly it's a no-brainer. I feel dumb for waiting so long to buy this lavaliere because it is amplifying how I feel about my small crew jobs exponentially. DON'T SLEEP ON THIS MIC. 5 |
