We use this Microphone for gathering television news. This style mic has been used for this purpose for many years. We still have some in use that forty or more years old.

We are a Regional Television Network. In our changing news environment we were looking for a simple way to get news and information to air. We were Face Timing news reports the video was fine but the audio was awful. We called B&H told them what we needed they suggested the Go Mic . The mic works great in our report Kiosks it picks up well . We edit on Final Cut Pro X .We add a touch of Bass and its perfect. It has two settings very directional and a setting for group recording. For the money you will not beat this Microphone. The computer found it with out a hitch . It is small enough and stays out of your way. Experiment with it some ,you will be very happy. I SHOOT TELEVISION NEWS AND THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST RELIABLE ARTICULATING ARM I HAVE USED. SMART DESIGN, GOOD WORKMANSHIP, QUALITY MATERIALS. I ALSO LIKE THE QUICK RELEASE FUNCTION , QUICK SWAP OUT OF LIGHTS DEPENDING ON THE JOB, OR ADDING A MONITOR IF NEEDED. I WOULD BUY AGAIN BUT THIS IS GOING TO LAST A LONG TIME.

We needed some diffusion material to soften our brand new LED lights at our television studio news sets when we transitioned from fluorescent fixtures. After comparing several different brands and options, I decided that Lee Opal Frost was perfect for our application. I searched on line to compare prices and found B&H to be extremely competitive. We use this unit (actually one we bought two years ago) almost daily and its awesome in a medium market television news environment. We have young staff and accidents could happen but this is a great value professional sounding appearing mic. BH does it again!

This lens is not for you if your intend to take pictures of news paper and test patterns, view you photos at 200% to examine pixels, and are primarily interested in collecting equipment. If however you are interested in spectacular photographs that have dynamic color, contract and near 3D imagery then this is for you. I have the 35 2.0 and 85 1.4 and they all deliver a natural color and presents that is extraordinary. When one looks holistically at the photo produced by these lenses (if one can separate oneself from the singular measure of sharp)they will see a vivid and realistic reflection of what was photographed. They are truly outstanding.
