Very please with the quality of the HDD. Quick way to add more room to my PlayStation. I will definitely buy from Seagate again! 5 |

8-Pack - WD 4tb Network Hdd Retail Kit (Wd40efrx, Red Drive) are actually 2 - 4 Packs ... regardless, these are great drives. Have about 34+ WD, Red Drives. I recommend these to any serious NAS Implementer. 5 |

I added 2 WD 4TB red HDD's to my QNAP NAS and they installed flawlessly. While the file access so far has been light they have been running for a month perfectly. They are also very quiet. I plan on adding to more to complete my 4 HDD Raid 5 setup soon. 5 |

This is my second nas unit. I bought this one to use as a DVR storage unit only. I install two WD 4T Red HDD's in this box. I set the HDD's up in Raid 1 configuration. My other Nas has WD Red's in them too for the last 7 years. The setup could not be any easier. you do it online at WD. using your box's ip address. This box has a transcoder for video resizing on output streaming to your playback devices. 5 |

I wanted to upgrade my 2 4T WD Red Pro NAS HDD to 2 WD 10T Red Pro. I didn't want to lose my data along the way. I read the instructions, I sent a note to Synology Customer Care, and I looked it up on the internet. They all said the same thing. But, I was leary. After replacing the first drive, it still showed 4T drive space. Only after the second drive was replaced did the NAS system show 10T drive space. What a relief. Love my Synology NAS that I got from BHPhoto for Christmas and I wouldn't use anything other than WD Red Pro HDD's in it. Hopefully, I am now set for a long time. I have 30 years of data and way too many photos. But, I doubt I'll still be around in another 30 years, so I have faith this will do me. 5 |

I have run a TrueNAS server in my home for many years and have never had an HDD failure. WD Red HDDs are the best but like any HDD, they should be kept cool (40C or lower) in order to last. 5 |

My 10TB WD Red in a new single bay light blue NAS replaced a 4Tb HDD in a different 3-y/o single bay NAS. With no other changes or tweaks to my system, my Intel NUC Corei7-8955U transfers large files to the NAS at around 40MB/s compared to 9-10MB/s for my old NAS. Plus, the WD Red is so quiet that I can barely hear it compared with the loud clunking noises of my old NAS HDD. 5 |
