I am using 2 2TB Crucial MX-500 SSDs and this thing is in best mode connected to my USB 3.1 Gen2. I am writing at 800MB/s and reading a bit over 900MB/s. I set this up in RAID 0, as I use it for 4K/8K video editing work. Well worth the price given the speeds you get and raid 0/1 options. 5 |

One of the most frustrating things about my MacBook Pro is that I'm always in need of adapters and extra ports. As a video editor, I have a million things plugged in at once. This USB-C dock is cleverly designed to fit snugly along the side of your Mac without sacrificing any ports, as it comes with two USB-C ones. It worked flawlessly and I love that it includes an HDMI port, so my old cables are given a slightly longer life. The only strange aspect of the design is that you need to insert your SD cards in upside down. I was a little confused when I first tried using it, but it's really not a big deal. I absolutely adore this bag. I have gotten about 1.5 million compliments on it, and it does everything I need it to. It is functional, hardy, and makes me look like the pro that I am, while not really standing out as a massive fancy camera bag. I can fit my Canon 6D, and two lens (both not mounted on the camera) comfortably, with an SD card case slid in, an extra battery, my keys, a pen, phone, random little shot list papers on the outside. 5 |
