Works for PS5 easy Installation. Followed the instructions from PlayStation for install and it worked perfectly.

I previously was using my PS5 to play 4k Blu Rays and when this one went on sale I decided to upgrade to a stand alone player. The quality is amazing and a big step up from the PlayStation. After watching a few movies I realized the PlayStation was washed out and the colors were muted. The Panasonic player is silent and can handle any movie I put in it. The menu is great and allows you to customize basically every setting and let's you save up to 4 presets. Definitely worth the upgrade from a console.

I purchased this to Upgrade my PS5, the installation was super easy, and it works just as it should. If you plan on putting this in the Playstation I would highly recommend picking up some type of Heatsink that's recommended for the PS5. I used the Sabrent and it all fit like a charm.

Excellent addition to PS5. If you have PlayStation Plus, you should get this. I have it and I have downloaded tons of great games from the library. However, the memory that comes with PS5 runs short soon if you have more than 4 or 5 games. I got 2TB FireCuda 530 and it has given me ample room to have my favorite games installed and readily available for playing. Also, I'd like to mention B&H, they have great service and go head on against the national companies. I found a better price here than at the national brands, soon Best Buy and Amazon followed B&H competitive prices. They also ship fast and free all the way to Texas!

As you'd expect since this is a PlayStation-licensed product, it works well with the PS5. The advertised speed is 7000 MB/s, though my PS5 told me that it operated at 6560 MB/s. That's still blazing fast, and I imagine that number might fluctuate up and down. For those reviews that said the PS5 didn't recognize the SSD, they might've been unlucky with static discharge or a manufacturing defect. Either way, it looks like WD is eager to make those issues right, so there should be no concerns about buying this. I also bought this because WD is an American company, and I'm trying to avoid buying electronics like this from overseas manufacturers.

Finally was able to buy a PlayStation 5. Did a little research and found the Seagate Fire Cuda to be one of the fastest and future proof SSDs available and came highly recommended at huge discount as part of a Black Friday sale and credit card promotions. Ordered the 1TB version (with heat sink) on the spot same day... it arrived well within 2 days and was a breeze to install. I highly recommend adding the extra memory from the start for the PS5... speed of loading games on the Seagate SSD is just as quick as base storage. Very please with the quality of the HDD. Quick way to add more room to my PlayStation. I will definitely buy from Seagate again!
