This is a very nice printer, all functions work, could use an updated driver for Mac OS 13.2.1 5 |

Installed in a 2010 MacPro in a x4 PCIe slot. Needs the Mac driver available from HighPoint. Found that it works under MacOS from 10.6.8 up to 10.12.6, unlike the manufacturers specs. Real world data transfer is around 100mB/sec... about twice as fast as FW800. Only issue TBD is its durability using it daily for external HDD backups. W. Li 5 |

The Yamaha USB MIDI driver did not move forward from iMac High Sierra to Mac Studio Ventura without using Rosetta emulator - which so far I have not been inclined to do. I started looking around for USB/MIDI wizardry and found this item. It works perfectly with no Yamaha drivers. Naturally, this cable does not fully expose the MO8 like the driver does. What it exposes is a bunch of routable and assignable MIDI channels. After testing, I was relieved to find out the cable itself is seen as a proper MIDI device, and discovered by Mac OS, and integrated perfectly in both DAWs I tested. (Pro Tools, Logic) On the keyboard side, the MIDI channels follow the parts in multi-timbral operation which is how I use the MO8. I have lost very little, if anything. So far, no delay compensation has been required. And the price is great. And its wonderful. And I'm happy. 5 |

A bit difficult to find the Mac driver online--it is compatible!--and strange that it doesn't come with a USB/USB-A cord. That aside, this is a bargain of a printer. Easy setup, economical with ink (which is included!), quiet, fairly swift, compact, and Canon quality printing. The pandemic has made it difficult to get to the library or office store, so being able to do my own paperwork and essays at home (and being the friend with a printer) was priority without a hulking multifunction device taking up space. I am so happy with this device. 5 |

The physical drive itself is great. I really like the SoftRAID software it comes with but it has two issues: You have to completely disable Apple's T2 chip security feature for SoftRAID to install its driver. I believe if they worked with Apple, Apple could sign the driver and allow it to be installed with the T2 chip setting allowing T2 security turned on with SoftRAID driver. A fix may be on the way for that. Second, the RAID drive does not show up on the About this Mac Storage status. Not a big deal. Otherwise SoftRAID is very easy to use, clear graphical user interface. It is what Apple's RAID setup should be. So far I have had no need to use it to rebuild/recover a RAIDed drive. Therefore I can give no feedback. This is being used on a 2019 Mac Pro. 5 |

As many of the other reviewers of this product mention, I too went to search for a driver. After wasting time doing that, I realized that when I restarted my computer, it just magically recognized the device and when I inserted a DVD, or CD, I was able to burn them to my computer. It seems to work on my Windows 7 and Mac operating systems just fine. I have a MacBook Pro without a built-in CD/DVD drive, so this works nicely. I am running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (mac) and Windows 7 in Parallels and have been able to burn discs nicely. I would advise forgetting about the usual driver headache that we come to expect when we get new devices and if your computer does not recognize/"see" the device in Finder (mac) or Explorer (windows) when you first plug it in, try a restart and try to plug it in and start playing with it! Sometimes we like to complicate things that do not ask to be complicated...at least that was my experience. 5 |
