Purchased to be a data disk for a new Windows 7 setup. Don't bother trying to get the Seagate DiscWizard to work (it never did for us). Windows 7 was fine for formatting.

I'm finding the PRO-BLADE STATION with it's proprietary BLADEs impressive. It's efficient, speedy, quiet and meets my data storage requirements. For Windows 11 users, you'll need to initialize each PRO-Blade SSD Magazine in Disk Management at first. Once set up and formatted, you're all set.  I own a 1TB BLADE and use it as my cache scratch disk during graphics editing, a 4TB as a backup disk to my C: system drive and a second 4TB for data. Recommended.

Bought this for the 256gb disk space. I put a heavy duty case on it and it is easy to put in camera backpack and take it with me in the field. Can down load photos and edit it them. Also can store my apps and other data when on road trips. with the large data capacity it is very handy on road trips. The screen is also awesome, very clear and easy to read. Definitely worth having in the field.

After reading Lionel's recent review here, I spoke with Samsung customer service and was assured their data migration software would work with the 860 pro.� So I took a chance and purchased this item.� Just completed replacement of the 120GB SSD system disk in my W7 desktop and the process worked perfectly, aided tremendously by having a Sabrent EC-DFLT external hard drive enclosure that was housing a 3.5" drive used for storage.� After removing the 3.5" drive from the Sabrent and replacing it with the 860 Pro, I installed the Samsung data migration software, which did update after its installation, from version 3.1.0.1 to version 3.1.0.3.� I then ran the data migration software - the process took 17 minutes and prompted me to install the 860 pro after it finished.� I powered down, swapped the 860 Pro for the old 120BG disk, rebooted, and the system started with no apparent change except the system disk now has 380GB of free space. On the basis of this experience, I recommend this product and send Kudos to Samsung for providing the very helpful software.

Excellent product to travel with a camera, and make backups on the fly. With this disk you can access all your data, transport it wherever you want, and connect with others devices. The wifi functionality is very useful to share the pics with your celular. The battery work very good in normal conditions and the SD reader is perfect to make backups of your photos on the fly. Very strong case, nice completion and very good material. Help me a lot in my last trip. Totally recommend.

This is a good value for regular data storage. If you want a somewhat faster boot disk, suggest the MX mode.
