I have not used this yet, the idea of a 1176 UA compressor in a box in useful.

UA got it right! Great unit. The plugins are spot on.

My Sony Bravia is the best, and my PlayStation. The best gaming system with best television how can you go wrong.

I connect these headphones into a Sony Playstation Vita and listen to songs using the Sony Music Unlimited application. This gives me adequate emphasis of bass to help me determine the notes which are sometimes difficult to hear and decipher. When wanting to play along to the music simultaneously using either guitar or bass, I simply plug MDR-7506 through the headphone port on subwoofer/amp combo or DI box. The Playstation Vita is then connected to auxillary port using appropriate auxillary cable. I then have the option of muting the output to the internal speaker depending on whether or not I want my neighbors to hear. MDR-7506 also come with a pouch to carry headphones and cable in. The earpads are soft which make extended listening appropriate. Though, I am fearful these pads may breakdown or tear at a faster rate or higher percentage. This is ok since the earpads themselves can be replaced without buying a complete new product. Another concern is the thin wire connection run independently to the left and right speakers. They could become caught within the sliding adjustment piece that is used to accomodate different head sizes. No worry just something to be aware and cautious of in advance. Overall, the sound is excellent with great clarity and bass. The price was just right for my budget. I wanted to splurge and spend more on this component of my system. However, after testing several other higher priced models, I simply could not justify passing up the quality this unit provided. Legitimacy confirmed!

I spent much time reading reviews on mic preamps and came upon UA products before buying one. I considered quite a few units. While many people raved about the 610, I decided to try their 710. I think the price point is very good in comparison to other preamps. I liked the concept of blending a tube circuit into the signal. Upon received the preamp I was immediately impressed with it and never looked back. This is one very nice preamp. Very quiet yet allows me to adjust and blend the tone the way I want. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a quality microphone preamp.

The WA76 is not supposed to sound exactly like the modern UA 1176LN as another review has highlighted. The WA76 is an exact replica of the Urei 1176 revision D that was produced in the early 1970s. The current UA 117LN is an amalgamation of revisions C, D, & E. These revisions have minor differences in circuitry dealing with low noise and distortion. The WA76 and UA 1176LN are essentially the same beast, but since they are produced with slightly different circuitry designs, one will hear very subtle sonic variations between the two. Which one you like more is a matter of preference.

I recently upgraded to this unit from the UA Twin. Apogees flagship converters in this little unit are amazing. Perfect unit for vocals or tracking single instruments. Definitely recommend.
