I come from a canon body and I always hesitated on converting into Sony because I invested in so much money on different canon lenses, but both Canon and Nikon has fell far behind on the full-sensor mirrorless body that it forced my hand to convert to Sony and I am not disappointed. The feel is like a true DSLR body, before the A7RIV, I didn’t like the feel of the smaller body, but this version just feels right and I have big hands too. All my old canon lenses works fine with this Sony body thanks to the sigma Mc-11. The autofocus works fine even with an extender of 1.4x that suppose to loose one stop of light. Even on my old canon body with the extender, the AF would not work properly but on this Sony body it did! This camera is so smart with the eye autofocus, whatever I want to shoot I point at it and it starts tracking without any problem. It even has animal eye detection so if you shoot wildlife, this is for you. Especially with that larger buffer, you can hold down that shutter Button like a machine gun and it just keeps going and going. The images are sharp and beautiful with that crazy 61 mp, even on crop mode it is still one of the highest mp on the market. Low lighting didn’t have any issues even with all that mp. The EVF is very sharp and beautiful with more than 5 million dots. Two things I didn’t quite like is 1.) the Touch screen is still fairly old tech, canon did a better screen so displaying the pictures looks better, the zoom doesn’t take you all the way in, and touch and drag is smoother on the canon. 2.) I did wish they put a door in front of the sensor when turned off, otherwise changing between lenses you will eventually get some dust particles in there. Other than that, it’s an amazing camera, I am now officially a Sony fanboy! 5 |

After using both Nikons and Canons I switched to Sony to lose weight while hiking. This is my 4th Sony A7r and each improved on the previous model. (the first was primitive). While having a lot of pixels is great when cropping is desired, the big change is with the autofocus. The people or animal eye focus is amazing. But, the tracking-expand flexible spot is a game changer. The camera is new in my hands, but so far the flexible spot sticks to the subject well. The 61 MP seems like a lot, but I programmed a custom button the APS-C mode and now my 200-600 MM lens is a 300-900! And, with 27 MP. So, more MP is useful. After all these years I still get excited when there is wildlife action. On my first venture with the A7r4 and 200-600 zoom, I was looking for birds. Small and fast, the focus worked fine. I've never had so many keepers. But, the light was poor and I dialed up the ISO to 12,800 to get a shutter speed to freeze the birds motion...and forgot about it as I was shooting and light got better. As I loaded imaged into Lightroom I saw the ISO and cursed a little. But, I was surprised the grain was not all that bad. My guess is, with all those pixels packed into the same space, they are smaller and therefore the grain is finer. So far my night images look great, but not enough time with it yet to have any opinion. One final note. I've been a photographer 50 years, but I don't make a living from it, or try to. I'm just having fun. 5 |

I use the MP-101 with a sony HD handcam on my 8-12ft camera jib crane. I got the shots I needed without spending 1000's on a more expensive pan tilt head that I would only occassionally use. 5 |

I LOVE this little camera! I also have a Sony A9ii mainly for Birds in Flight photography, but I wanted a smaller, lighter, camera with a decent sensor and a single, all-in-one lens. Without having to change lenses, the RX10iv gives me 20 MP and the equivalent of 24mm-600mm (the A9 has a much faster and slightly larger 25 MP sensor but I need three separate, big, heavy lenses to cover 24 to 600.) I love that all the major controls on the RX10 are laid out much like the A9. I also LOVE having the three Custom Buttons, the ability to customize most of the other buttons, and the 12 Function slots – this has allowed me to set up this camera nearly the same as my A9 (this is really helpful for my old brain!) This is an excellent all-purpose everyday camera!! 5 |

At 61 mp with all the features of a Sony, this camera is very hard to beat. The autofocus is spectacular and the animal eye focusing sensoring make it a great choice for wildlife photography. the 61 mp make it essentially a medium format camera that is perfect for landscape photography.. It is the greatest all in one package that I have found. 5 |

The Sony 128GB CFexpress Type B TOUGH Memory Card is great! The 45 MP sensor in my camera body records lots of data quickly, and the Sony card keeps up - even when shooting in burst mode. Downloading image files is quick and easy. 5 |

A great 24 mp 1 sensor and camera. The battery drains much too quickly (on/off) even though the EVF is turned off, airplane mode is on and the brightness setting are turned to normal manual. I wish Sony would address this issue with a firmware update, but they seem to be unwilling to do so. In the past I have used a 16mp NEX-3n and it did not have the battery draining issue so I know Sony is able to solve the problem. 5 |
