Sony Pro Video Camcorder

A cable is a cable,is a cable, is a cable...right? Not. Inexpensive but very well made and handy to use to connect our boom mic with our Sony video camcorder.

I was thinking of also purchasing the Sony FDR-AX100 but decided to go with the FDR-AX53 as my run-'n gun camcorder since they both had similar video and image quality and the AX53 has Sony's legendary Balanced Optical Steady Shot image stabilization. I have to admit that the AX53 is worth each of the $998 I spent to purchase it. It records very nice 4K video for the price, though it isn't the best. You would not expect top of the line 4K video quality from something as inexpensive as this. The image stabilzation is top notch as it always has been, but more so than the AX33, which I wss able to test out a long time ago, but I wanted to wait for thst camcorder's successor. The only minor quibbles that I have are the low light performance, which isn't the best, but is acceptable. This is mostly due to the small censor size compared to the AX100. The larger pixel size helps somewhat with low light perfomance, but there is still a little bit of noise when I shoot on city streets. Also, the AX53 does not support the ability to record true 4K (4096 2160), but I can live with that by cropping the video to 2.55:1. The 5.1 channel microphone is simulated and not true surround sound, but it still sounds very good for an in-camcorder microphone. Also, this camcorder is missing an in-camcorder video light, so I have to attach an external light, and that is not exactly convenient. Previous Handycams had built in recording lights and I'm guessing that Sony did not add a light to decrease the camcorder's size. After all, it is a ver small camcorder; much smaller than the AX100. These are just minor quibbles, which are to be expected in an otherwise great bang-for-buck package, which I highly recommend for anyone looking for a good 4K Camcorder that has great video quality without the confusing manual features.

You cannot go wrong with a RODE mic. Much better than the shotgun mics that come with the video camcorder. I am using this on one of my two new Sony HXR-MC2000U cameras. Prevents most of the side ambient noise from being captured. You also get a set of replacement bands (for the shock system) included in the package.

For main video I only use my real camcorder Sony FDR-AX53. When traveling I use my GoPro 8 Black on my cap to capture things around me using with my remote control. But I use my pocket 2 to record on places like night clubs where those 2 devices are not convenient. Video on my pocket 2 is good enough for my video combining with videos from my Sony AX53 and GoPro 8. I love this pocket 2 better than my old Osmo Pocket for its wide angle lens, the small remote control blends into the device, and its slot for tripod.

I Purchased This HDMI Cable To Use With A Small Sony Music Video Camcorder, Because I Needed Something That Coiled For Easy Storage In Camera Bag. It's Made With High End Parts, And It Works As Well As The Non Coiled Type, I Would Buy This Cable Again.

This is really a digital master tape but You have to be camcorder master so this tape can hold Your quality.I am using this tape in my sony HD z1u from first day. Now I am doing wedding/ infomercial video in seattle area. When I am doing video editing on apple final cut pro its reflect his cost as well as quality on screen as High Defination (HD). I never have complaint from this DIGITAL MASTER TAPE.

Just upgraded from my Canon SD1000 to the SX210, and am very happy with my choice.Going on vacation, I wanted to be able to shoot video and was going to buy an inexpensive HD camcorder, but when I saw the quality of the video from the SX210, I figured I could have both excellent quality stills and video in a tiny portable package for the same price as a camcorder that gives lousy stills.Compared the SX210 to the Sony HX5 and the Panasonic ZX5 and thought the image quality was far superior on the Canon. I'm a video producer and spend a lot of time looking at monitors and viewfinders, and my impression is that the Canon's images are more film-like with wider contrast and good color saturation. The Panasonic and Sony cameras, while they give excellent, sharp images, look a little too electronic for me.The Panoramic feature on the Sony was excellent, and the GPS implementation on the Panasonic was well thought out, but I just like the Canon images better....Don't forget to get yourself a few extra batteries and SD cards - the Transcend 16GB is dirt cheap and Class 6.Didn't load the Canon software onto my PC - I can view videos & stills without it (in Win 7), so I don't need their Multi million megabytes of disk hogging features.

I'm using this to run a Sony 4K camcorder for streaming and video calls where I needed better resolution and lighting. Works perfectly and allows me to do the same with my laptop when travelling.
