Sony Professional Digital Film Camera

The Black and White Mode is the first real film look i have found in any professional digital camera paired with the metal body, size and overall rangefinder design with the addition of the mode dial have all restored the digital camera back into the long historical evolution of the street photographer's camera. 5 |

While digital technologies continue to be perfected with professional camera use and their widespread applications, the latest Sony RX1RII fixed Zeiss lens camera (other cameras allow long-lens variants) exceeds expectations, especially when printing work on a large scale (with the Epson Stylus Pro 9900). While some relatively minor imperfections exist as with all cameras that professionals adjust to, the expansive quality of color, remarkable low-light resolution, extraordinary image quality and virtual unlimited visual potentials provide challenges that move into unchartered territory for artists (see attached site-specific photographic installation of 112x152cm prints). The most problematic issue is not Sony's: Adobe Photoshop has abandoned the long supporting professional community by not making a plug-in for this camera's RAW files (ARW in Sony terms). Two alternatives: 1) join the CC monthly feed of Adobe Photoshop (APS), abandoning the experienced professional use of all former Photoshop versions, or 2) for 99$ purchase the most basic APS Elements software that notes the Sony RX1RII RAW files are supported, at least noted in Elements literature. What a way to treat loyal professionals and Sony over the years, claiming that CC is better without meaningful details justifying the obvious money first, customer second policy for purchasing the CC version. Not mentioning inevitable future rises in CC prices, non-copyright protections in-Cloud, and not allowing printing in your studio with your own APS, even when CC RAW is tiff converted. Sony's RX1RII with Zeiss lens and its internal digital processor chip is remarkable for what the eye can see (numerous professional digital cameras now exceed what can be seen without mention), even with the rare if not unprecedented 600$ additional cost recently by Sony. 5 |

I never used an instant film camera before and I have always been digital camera user (SONY and Nikon). No doubt RF70 is the best Polaroid camera I've seen! It's just amazing. The best thing of RF70 is the aperture control, and excellent shallow depth of field. I am very happy and having fun shooting with it. 5 |

If you want the film look on a digital camera this is a must have. It takes the digital edge off your images. 5 |

I am a professional photographer that shoots both film and digital. I use Gold 200 when I want a little bit more contrast and a warmer tone for my portrait work. Keep in mind the film is quite a bit warmer than Kodak Portra 400 ( especially for late afternoon shots) I am very pleased with the results. 5 |

To be honest, I have nothing to compare it to...since going digital I have only used Canon (and Nikon before that for film) until now that I use a Sony a7IV. All of my cine and photo friends who went to Sony with a load of Canon lenses recommended this hands down. I love the design and feel of it. So far so good! 5 |

As a professional cameraman, I have been using these Sony Digital Master HDV tapes for about 10 years for commercials and web videos. I have about 600 in my tape vault, all shot on my Sony Z1U and FX1 cameras. The tapes are extremely dependable. Amazingly, in all these years I've only seen a few momentary drop-outs, and I have never lost a scene to tape damage. These days I use my HDV cameras for second or third cameras on many shoots, or when I need a special look such as low shutter speed. I am very glad that Sony continues to make this tape, and that B&H continues to sell them. 5 |

I have these mics hooked up to Sony Digital Voice Recorders. They work GREAT!!! Don't waste your money on expensive wireless microphones that don't ever give you 100% reliable, great sounding audio. Get these mics paired up with an audio recorder for professional sound!!!I've been in the video business for over 6 years, and have had horrible experiences with all other professional brands, including: Shure, Sennheiser, and others... Ever since I've abandoned my wireless, $ systems and replaced them with these inexpensive mics paired up with Sony Digital Voice Recorders, I have had REMARKABLE audio, and will never go back to the wireless systems. It takes a little more time to edit and sync the audio to the video, but the end product is WELL worth it!!!These simple, inexpensive mics are GREAT to use for every day recording: talking heads, interviews, weddings, commercials, ambient sound, etc! 5 |

I upgraded from a digital Rebel. I found this camera to be very easy and intuitive to use, much like my film camera use to be. 5 |
