As professional sports videographer for over twenty years I've had to learn the hard way that genuine Sony battery packs are the only ones you can count on for hours of power and reliability.Like many I have tried all types of battery packs to save some money. All of them never held there charges after just a few shoots and many others didn't withstand the rigors of run and gun shooting. They literally feel apart. When shooting three day at sea trusting your camera's battery life is a must. When you need the best buy the best. Sony battery Packs. It's that simple.

I needed a sports camera to go along with my Canon R3 camera. It's absolutely what I needed. I didn't want to spend $6000 for a new professional camera. I have been looking for a used version of this camera, but was unable to find anything with a low shutter count. When this new camera went on sale at B&H, I had to get it! It maybe big and heavy, however it takes great photos.

I've been shooting professional sports for over 25 years and have never seen a camera that could handle the shots like this one. I travel quite a lot during baseball and football season and my equipment must be able to take the abuse of the road. This one can. My first two Mark IIIs had the AF problem but the latest firmware upgrade (1.2.3) resolved the issue totally.

I am a professional sports photographer and I have relied on the EOS 1D bodies since the first version. From the outside, this body doesn't look much different than the 1DX, but the shutter is updated, with a cleaner, more consistent response to the release button - and if you can set your shutter lag to either standard or shortened, depending on how quick your trigger finger is. Once you've assessed which autofocus setting works best for your situation, the focus is incredibly precise. I generally shoot on Manual metering, but on my test runs I've seen that when using the various auto metering modes it only occasionally gets fooled by dark or light background situations. The incident that sold me on the camera: I had borrowed an associate's 1DX mkii while shooting in an indoor arena. During the competition, the arena lights went out. A transformer had blown, leaving the arena with only the emergency lighting. I decided to see what exactly the camera could do, and dialed it ISO up to 40,000. The camera could see better than I could, and I walked away with images that were usable after applying noise reduction. This is a pro camera. It's a workhorse. It's heavy. But if you're shooting sports or wildlife, it's the right tool for the job.

I shoot everything from Professional Sports to Concerts and Festivals. I also shoot a lot of Video. Needless to say this camera can do it all. The 14-16 FPS is best in the business and can handle all I shoot and the 4k video is clearly what everyone wants!

Have Canon 7D and 50D for sports photography. Purchased the Sony A6000 for travel camera. Great choice

I bought the A6000 to be used as a camera for sports, primarily skiing, but love it as a general purpose camera for kids, birds, etc. Another reason I bought it is that I wanted a relatively inexpensive, high quality camera I can take into riskier situations (backountry skiing) without worrying about breakage. Since I also own an A7 I share lenses with the A6000. Thus far I find myself using the Sony FE 70-200 G lens the most but I've also got the Zeiss 35mm, 50mm and 24-70mm lenses. I'm very pleased with the image quality even with cropping. The frame rate and autofocus speed on this camera is incredible...you won't be dissappointed. Sony really seems to be on a great run with all their mirrorless products. Some reviews knock the EVF resolution, but I have not found that to be an issue at all, in fact, I was very pleased with the clarity.

I work in sports media and this tripod is perfect because its light and sturdy enough to hold my Sony Camera w/out ever having to worry about the weather elements. Highly recommend it!
