Sony Professional Video Camera Latest Models

I have been using a d850 since October 2018 without a hitch and still love it. In fact, I see little reason to upgrade since sensor performance has hardly improved over the d850 in the latest full frame models. Before the d850 I was using a d750. Beyond the greater pixel count, the autofocus performance and dynamic range of the d850 are noticeably superior to the d750. The d850 remains a great camera and retains one clear advantage over the Z mount cameras: it can autofocus the old screw drive lenses, which matters to me as I still use my 180mm 2.8D. If autofocus were critical to my work, maybe I would get a Z mount camera since the latest models seem to be superior in that area, but my current work is mostly landscape photography using tilt-shift lenses. For this project, the Z mount cameras are not a significantly better than the d850.

I do professional videography but I started out years ago shooting on a Pentax K1000 film camera. I bought the a6000 primarily for shooting video with a large sensor camera. This camera is fantastic. At around $500 there is nothing that comes close in features and it has a aps C sensor which is found in 90% of all dslr and mirrorless cameras. I’ve seen canon 1” sensor point ant shoot cameras for hundreds more. I shoot low light wedding videos on this camera and the video looks fantastic. It also shoots video in Sony’s xavc 50 mbps format which is found on Sony cameras and pro camcorders costing thousands more. This small camera is a beast!

A must have for all the latest Sony cameras

This was an upgrade from the A7ii for me. Huge jump in capability. Purchased for latest video specs. I am a Sony fan. The A7ii has been around the world and taken a beating--still producing great images.

I have four (4) old Magsafe cables from old MacBook Pro models through the years. Now that I have the latest model (Mid-2015), I was wondering if I'd have to pay big $$$ to get more (one for the office, one for the house, one for my laptop bag so I'd never be without..., yes, it rhymes). But this little $$item means I can use all my old cables over again! I have one new Magsade cable that came with the new MacBook Pro, the rest of the cables remain where they are, with the addition of this small item. And the magent is tight, so there's very little risk it'll get lost!

Im a Sony shooter, with the latest Sony a7RV camera and a IV second body back up. Multiple G lenses. I like Sony. HOWEVER! When I travel, I ALWAYS bring this little guy along as well. Sometimes you just want to go to dinner and not lug the big camera around in the off chance you see a great shot. Thats where the RX1R comes in. I put a fancy strap on it and i bring it along. No matter where I am, its small enough to not get in the way. The images Ive captured from this camera are so good, I need to double check to see which camera captued the shot. It's a fantastic little camera with a not so small little price. But its totally worth it if you you care about phtography. Get it, you wont be sorry!
