Ordered as external drive for storing PS4 game data to access on PS5 console. Plug and Play, PlayStation setup was fast and painless. No issues with load times or in game performance. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Initially, we got this SSD for our gaming PC but decided to try it in our video game console as well. The results have impressed us so much that we’re now planning to buy another 990 PRO to get the best possible experience from both devices. It was very easy to install the SSD, only a matter of minutes from start to finish. After we powered everything back up, the system immediately recognized the new drive. The console's speed test showed the drive running at 6561MB/s, which is more than 1000MB/s faster than the suggested minimum. The 990 PRO works perfectly inside our console, and the massive 2TB capacity lets us keep all our games at the ready, with room to spare. Games load up almost immediately, even a little quicker than when they’re installed on the system’s internal drive. All in all, we couldn’t be happier with the 990 PRO in our video game console. This is the SSD to get for all your gaming storage needs.

Worked great! I couldn't even find it on Amazon. I used it on a Playstation PS4. I got a "Audio Decoder 5.1 Channel AC3 DTS Decoder" to convert from the digital optical from PS4 to separate Center, Front and Rear outputs. I used this device to put the center 1-channel onto both Left and Right 2-channel.

I installed one of these into my PlayStation 4 a couple years ago and it works great. My little brother's ps4 was always running out of memory in his hard drive so it was time to upgrade his harddrive on a PlayStation 4 so I got the same one and it's installed into him since I worked with my with no issues.

I no long play with my ps4 or xbox after I got this. this is a game changer

An excellent drive to use with a Playstation 5 console. It provides a great amount of additional storage, great read / write speeds, and stays relatively cool, even with PS5. I'm very happy with purchase, and love shopping with B&H Photo!

This was a great purchase. I have used it with my old Hi8 camcorder, a Pa an console, my old VCR and a PlayStation II and it worked just as it is supposed to! My 84 year old father can play Tomb Raider again! This product was more compact than I imagined and had the weight and feel of a high quality piece of equipment. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. I may purchase another one, after I test it on another TV.

this is a great add on accessory for this game console. being wireless, it's a clean add on.
