Sony Sound Cancelling Headphones

The Sony XM4 headphones were so worth it! The noise cancelling is amazing and the sound is great too. In a study space where there is a lot of noise, these headphones really help me focus. They are worth every penny! 5 |

I am very happy with the sound and noise cancelling. They are also very comfortable and lighter than my previous Sony headphones. Worth the extra money. 5 |

Ive had several other noise cancelling headphones by Bose (QC35 II) and Beats (Studio Wireless) and I always hailed Bose as king of Noise Cancelling headphones. Now the only thing that Bose has over Sony is the durability of the headphones, my Bose headphones I could pretty much bend however I wanted and they wouldn't break. The Sony's are a bit more stiff, but the material is still premium! I originally went with Bose because of their comfort though, I like to wear my headphones for an extended period of time and the old Sony's (XM1 and XM2) got uncomfortable after a few hours. With the new design however, I can see myself wearing these all day! What does Sony have to offer that's better than Bose? - Noise cancelling (much better) - Sound quality - Battery life - Customization through app - Accessories (better quality auxiliary charger cords, as well as a good airplane adapter!!) - USB-C Charger!!! (as a MacBook Pro owner this was a must, I hated micro-usb so much) - Comfort? (I'm still testing this out but ill update in a few weeks if its better or on-par with the Bose QuietComfort 35 ii) 5 |

I went into B&H looking for a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. The floor attendant told me that it would be mostly a toss-up between Sony and Bose for top-of-the-line equipment. I eventually settled on Sony because I was more interested in listening to natural voice than to bass and musical effects. So far so good. I am happy with the performance, which kept my ears protected during the 9-hour flight home. 5 |

I had an expensive wireless in ear headphones, but I needed something that was noise cancelling and didn't bother me inside the ear. Sony Wireless Noise Canceling headphones are PERFECT! It cancels out unwanted noise, I can ask Google to do things, I can talk on the phone and they are so comfortable over the ear. I love my new headphones! 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I have owned a number of over the ear headphones from a number of different brands, these wireless noise-cancelling headphones from Sony are the absolute best! The noise cancelling function (this is my first pair of headphones with that feature) is no gimmick - it really works! Now I can focus on the great sound rather than external noise, and in a house with young children, there is a lot of distracting noise! The noise cancelling feature, as with many of the features, is adaptive, so it takes into account your surroundings which is really cool. I was blown away by how light these headphones are too! That they are lightweight combined with incredibly soft ear cushions makes for a really comfortable pair of headphones that can be worn for extended periods without ear or other discomfort. The battery life is phenomenal and the app works fantastically. You can even take a picture of your ears to customize the audio features with some of the high quality music streaming services (which you get a nice free trial). It really does make a difference. The case is also convenient and slim as well and is firm enough on the outside that it protects the headphones. Overall, this is an awesome product that is lightweight, super comfortable, portable with great battery life, and of course, offers excellent sound with noticeable noise cancellation. I can't thank Sony enough! 5 |

These have a very clean, clear open sound for a noise cancelling headphone. When set with no EQ, they do have a significantly increased bass response compared to what I'm used to in headphones, but that bass is extremely tight and articulate, not boomy or muddy. You can turn it down 2 to 4 dB with the simple three-band EQ that is set from the iPhone or Android app if you're like me. (Note that I'm used to somewhat lean bass, my wired headphones being HD600, HD800S, and Audeze LCD-5, all of which can benefit from a bass boost in EQ). Unlike my first wireless Momentum, these pair easily and reliably with Apple devices (in my case) including laptop, iPhone, and iPad. They can pair two devices at once and auto-switch between them. The call quality is exceptional, the touch control on the righthand earpiece is easy and simple, and the noice cancelling is good, without giving the impression of reduced sound quality. Last, they offer insanly good battery life! (Sennheiser claims 60 hours). At the new lower price, I think they are an excellent value, and a pleasure to listen to. 5 |

I bought this a week ago and are the most lightest most comfortable headphones I've ever had. Sound is great. Noise cancelling is better than bose. 5 |
