Sony Stereo Sound System

a recent lightning strike took out our only sony (as well as our stereo and sound system). our two samsungs came through it without a scratch! we replaced the sony with a third samsung. it makes me recall the old timex ad “takes a lickin’ and keeps on ticking “. our dvr/u-verse box got toasted, and our 45” samsung connected to it was just fine! maybe they should consider renaming the brand samson! 5 |

This set-up is very impressive. I have owned Sony soundbars before this, and this system is clearly in a league of its own among soundbars. The speakers are so clean and clear, in those aspects they match my stereo Sony speakers which are much bigger. Obviously my stereo speakers have a much fuller and deeper sound along with much more powerful bass. I have used this system watching a movie, watching sports and listening to youtube concert and song clips. It shines the best with movies but does dam good with the music clips. With sports you hear background sounds one does not hear with just the TV speakers, but sports are not as impressive as movies or music. I played CDs with this system thru my blueray player and the sound was incredible. Unlike my stereo system which is more horizontal in sound, you can tell the HT-A9 bounces the sound of the ceiling that the stereo system can not match. I have to confess that I bought the sub-woofer with the system, in my opinion it is a necessity especially for music and movies. The set-up is flawless, no drop off of sound at all so far, but all of my speakers have a clear sightline with the control box. Easy to set up, love having no wires from control box to speakers. The sub woofer does not need line of sight to control box. As yet I am undecided whether I like the system used with the TV center speaker more than the set-up on its own. I have The Sony A80K 65 in. as my TV with the set-up. All in all, I love this system and have no regrets buying it even if it is expensive. I did buy the system and sub woofer on sale, saving 400 in all. The gray color does not look bad at all. Best overall TV system I have ever owned, I will always buy a Sony TV and have owned Sonys all my life and I am 71. 5 |

I decided to go across the board and get a new stereo system. Got a Sony STR-DH190 receiver, 2 Sony SSCS5 speakers, 2 SSCS3 floor standing speakers, and a Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB turn table. Wow, great quality sound and definition from FM, Phono, and audio input from TV. A lot of quality that will not break the bank. Instrument solos come thru bright and crisp. Bass well defined without being overpowering. Really brings out the quality that underlies old 70's LP's. Just a great setup. I link in my Apple Laptop and iPhone via Bluetooth to the Sony receiver. Though I have a preference for analog LP's, the digital via bluetooth is fantastic also. Highly recommend. A solid investment. 5 |

My stereo system gave out. Looking for a cheaper replacement , so decided to research sound bar replacement. My research led me to the Vizio M series sound bar system for the price please with the sound. 5 |

I'd been looking for a stereo receiver to incorporate with my existing sound system and this Tree Receiver fit the bill. 5 |

These speakers are great. They may be just a stereo system but they sound like more. The bass is full and lively. The speakers are clear and crisp in every detail. I spent far to much money on other speaker systems, sound bars and other things that I wish I would have known about these. I would definitely buy these again even just to have another pair for the living room. I can't wait to save up some money and build myself a theater room with the speakers that are offered by Klipsch I will never go anywhere else for my audio needs. 5 |

I love the sound of these speakers. I use them as surround speakers with Arc. Playing music is incredible. However, when I'm watching TV the 5.1 surround sound is spotty. The broadcasters aren't always broadcasting in surround, so I have to remove the surround and reuse them as a stereo pair or just individual speakers. It seems there would be a way for the system to recognize this and adjust. Or at least give me the option to toggle between surround and stereo on the fly without having to go through the system menu options to remove them and then later add them back as surround when available. This would be an option for any surround speakers, not just 300's. 5 |
