I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing. 5 |

I use this model for monitoring and mixing in my studio. These headphones are the best I have ever used and goes right along in the same category as the SM57 microphones. Best sound and amazing price for the performance! 5 |

Saw these headphones listed as PC Magazine's Best for Affordable Studio Headphones, and I totally agree. I haven't used them for any studio stuff, but they're great for gaming and streaming. Very pleased with what you get for the price. Comfortable, great sound, and cool features (can plug into the left or right side, plug has a lock on it, comes with color bands to identify each chord, adjustable head band). 5 |

Ive used the standard Sony studio monitoring headphones for video production purposes, and while they sound fine, they just dont last very long...ear cup material comes apart or just comes off. The Sennheiser HD 280s are buil to stand up to the riggors of location production applications while providing great isolated sound for monitoring purposes. My only compliant/wish would be for them to switch to a non-coiled headphone cable...gets stretched out if someone decides to wrap it around the earpieces or if it gets shoved into a bag. 5 |

Simply the BEST headphones money fan buy at the moment. There’s nothing else like it that compares. It does exceptionally well in every catagory and no headphones has been able to do that. 5 |

My previous Sony headphones were studio headphones and I was unsure how much of an upgrade these new ones would be. I use them for playing my keyboard workstation. I read the reviews and decided to make the purchase not really knowing how much of an upgrade they would be. I was shocked when I heard the presence of the keyboard in these headphones. When I hit a bass note it sounded so different and deeper. I kept playing and playing and all of my songs sounded new again. For $90 what a crazy upgrade! You have to hear it to believe it. 5 |

I had been using a pair of Sony MDR-V6 studio headphones for years and years and always thought them fine. A friend convinced me to try these Sennheiser HD 600 and they are astonishinly better than my old trusty Sonys in every way - the clarity and sense of space in stereo recordings is amazing. 5 |
