Sony Studio Monitor Ear Pads

I needed to replace the ear pads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones - this for the second time... I use them to monitor audio levels during production. The originals and previous replacements wore out quickly, leaving flakey black plastic bits all over my head, face and ears. NOT acceptable. I am trusting that Sheepskin leather will hold up much better. 5 |

Have always been a big fan of the Sony MDR-7506 over the years... after replacing my latest pair of headphones after 7 years of daily use as an on-air radio pro, I found these ear pads recommended by B&H. Never had any issues with the stock ear pads on my MDR-7506, but decided to try these as an upgrade... and very glad I made the decision! Nice to now have warm & fuzzy ears and never feel any fatigue from wearing for long periods of time. It's a subtle upgrade, but worth it. 5 |

The ear cups of my old Senal SMH -Series headphones were cracking and flaking, so I had to wipe the flecks of the old phones off my face after I used them. I got the deluxe velour ear pads and in a couple of minutes I replaced the old cushions. And by the way, Auray has a video that shows you the right way to do it. They're comfortable and don't get hot. Easy to install. Make sure your headphones have 1/6/40 mm drivers. Larger than that, and I don't think they'll fit. If you're using Sony Sony MDR-7506 in the studio and your talent is complaining that they're not comfortable after an hour or two, swap out the ear pads with these and the complaints will stop. A great buy for $14. 5 |

As a audiophile I have other headphones I prefer if I want to simply listen to music however as a pro AV tech, this Sony MDR-7506 is the ONLY headphones I want when doing any kind of pro use from checking a mic line in a live mixing situation to mixing audio for video, this is my choice headphone. The Sony sound is flat, not a lot of bass but is exactly whats needed when mixing as you want flat. The isolation is good when blocking outside sounds and I find the Sony will hold up to pro use, except the ear pads those are replaceable, I would suggest go ahead and order the extra ear pads as you will need them. I have been using my original set of Sony MDR-7506 at least 12 years of pro work and are simply fantastic! Never a short or any problems but I am on my 4th or 5th set of ear pads as in a pro situation I am very hard on these phones. You may find a better sounding headphone but when mixing or using in the field for anything pro AV, this is the headphones to buy! 5 |

I had a pair of +12 years old MD6 Sony headphones that I was ready to toss out because the original ear pads had deteriorated beyond use. I searched on the internet and found B&H who delivered replacement ear pads in 3 days. A great service. 5 |

I bought these ear pads to upgrade over my existing Sony MDR-CD900ST ear pads, which were not comfortable for longer listening sessions. The deluxe ear pads by Pearstone are velour and feel much more comfortable when listening for over a 30min period, where with the originals my ears would start to get sweaty. Also, these happened to help decrease ambient noise. I recommend these pads and would buy again. 5 |

Very well made product, feels very smooth to the sensitive skin of the ear. I wish Sony made their headphones with these pads - the original Sony pads are very poor quality. My MDR-7506 still sound great after more than a decade of use, but the pads were in poor condition. This pair really made the headset look and feel brand new. Also got them on a deal from B&H for 50% off. Thank you B&H! 5 |

I bought the Sony MDR-7506 to use it for video editing. I have the Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC. They sound good but even though I appreciate the modern look and design, their ear pads put an extensive pressure on my big ears and that make it hard to have it on for a long time. Their sound is good but it is slightly dull for me. The Sony MDR 7506 are lighter and their ear pads are more comfortable. The sound is good and clear. I am able to hear everything. Some YouTube reviewers say that its sound is too bright. Well, if I am editing audio I want to hear everything and this "brightness" helps and works. Do I enjoy the music using MDR 7506? Yes! And I am able to hear and understand every word. I exchange these headphones twice because the right ear pad was a bit larger than the left one. Yes, I've got two pairs with the same problem and thanks to the B&H assistance the last pair I've got yesterday is OK. The factory quality control should be improved. Even though the Sony MDR-7506 represent the 90s style design, they sound the way they should. The Sony MDR-7506 has a word "Professional" on it. Proved by time. This is not an advertisement. This is my personal opinion. 5 |

I don't use this Sony V7906 headset for music, but use it to copy Morse code. The ear pads are comfortable and do a good job of blocking outside noise. 5 |

The earpads area a very well made replacement for my old Sony head phone ear pads. Now I can enjoy them again. The only problem is you must be carefull when installing them so as not to damage the ear pads. 5 |
