Sony Studio Monitor Headphones Earpad Replacement Guide

I received these free with my Senal Headphones and what a fabulous idea! I had two similar Sony brand headphones years ago whose earpad coverings started flaking off and disintegrating in under a year. This product prevents that by preserving the delicate, faux final earpad covering material.

The earpad covers on my Sony headphones were starting to peel apart, leaving little black specs all over my sound guy. These fixed that perfectly. They fit great, are easy to instal on look and work like the originals. Much cheaper than replacing the entire headphones.

I ordered these earpads after most of the material on the original earpads that came with my MDR-7506 headphones had worn out and flaked away. Even after about 2 years of near-daily use, the headphones themselves were still in perfect condition, so it seemed unnecessary to replace them outright. With standard shipping, I still received these very quickly. The process of removing the old earpads and replacing them with these new ones is extremely simple, but does take some dexterity. Replacing the first earpad was a solid 5-10 minutes of fumbling, but I got the hang of it and had the second one on in about 30 seconds. The leather-like material is thinner than I expected, but not nearly as thin as the original earpad material. I expect these to last much longer. The soft fabric material feels great against the sides of my face as the headphones hug my head. I couldn't be happier with these earpad replacements.

It is a well made replacement earpad! Where I work, we use earbud/mics for our two-ways and we are really hard on them. These have held up very well!

Perfect replacement earpads for the Audio Technica ATH-M30. More comfortable than the original pads. Read some reviews saying how hard they were to install, but I found they were not all that difficult to install. Just start the pad into the top part of the slot at the top and keep it in place with a firm finger, then gradually alternate putting the earpad in the right and left side parts of the slot, and finally, while holding what you have already put in the slot on the top and both sides, pull the last part (bottom) down into place. You may have to adjust it a little after you get the entire earpad installed to get it lined up straight up and down to fit your ear.

I would have liked the OEM earpads on the NDH 20 to last more than two years. The replacement earpads from B&H are authentic. Use a hot air gun on low to medium heat to relax the material (surface and interior padding) before mounting. Be patient and persistent gently stretching the earpad into place. Humor, use about twenty fingers to keep the earpad from slipping around the circumference - until the earpad is fully seated. Enjoy the new fit on your ears.

Sound is great, design is awesome. I have a 1st gen Monitor as well but this sounds even better thanks to the ANC and the better earpad design. Hopefully the build quality will be also better, the only one thing what could be better in the 1st gen is the covering materials fir wires, earpads and headband. After a while those become worn easily, hopefully this isnt the same a situation here.

So I needed a replacement/upgraded pair of studio cans that I could use extensively that would tell me the truth... it was either the Mackie MC-150 or these and decided to spend a little bit extra for the quality, and it was worth it... the stereo imaging on these are AMAZING, its funny sometimes I forget I got them on my ears and for a few moments think my studio monitors are still turned on, it doesnt lack in any low/mid/high area, but doesnt hype anything up either, very accurate and fun to work with, if you have a good ear for tracking/mixing even mastering these can be a very valuable tool to have in the studio, overall one of the best pairs of studio headphones I ever had, rivals certain other studio headphones twice the price, highly recommended
