Sony Wireless Microphones For Video

This Pelican case is perfect for storing my Sony Audio wireless microphones, etc. It is small but has plenty of room and this case it solid as a rock. This is a must buy at B&H! I'm sure the price will go up soon so I would pull the trigger and purchase this now if you are looking for a good solid case with great storage space.

These clips are a must if you have purchased the Sony UWP-V or UWP-V1 series wireless lavalier microphones. The Sony system is great except for the mic clips. They are plastic and just begging to break. The Pearstone clips are metal and sturdy with a firm grip on clothing and microphone. Good price for 5 clips.

As a high school video teacher who is using Rode Wireless Go microphones in a 100% mobile production workflow, we have used a lot of cables. These Rode cables have worked every single time we have used them. They are durable and the color coding makes it really easy to teach my students what each end means and where it goes in the workflow. I am a big fan of this product.

I use these to charge our Rode Wireless Go II microphones. I teach high school video/film production so these are used a lot. So far, they have withstood the abuse of teenagers. That being said, they do not feel as solid as some other options. For example, I have the Hollyland Lark Pro and the charging case for that is very well constructed. This feels cheap and plasticky, but so far it works.

Part of my work is videoing interviews. I needed a workhorse lavalier micrphone which would allow me to mic up interviewer and interviewee. I already own an old Sony ECM 50. The ECM-44B would be the second microphone. The sound quality compatibility between the ECM 50 and the ECM-44B is great. Since both microphones are omni-directional, they are picking up roughly the same amount of ambient noise. The ECM-44B is an interviewing microphone. It does not compare with my AKG Evotion vocal microphones. However, the ECM-44B is perfect for the documentary video maker. I must confess that its output is a little low, but usable, with my Panasonic AG-HMC70 video camera. When the situation allows, I am connecting the ECM-44B through a older Mackie 1202 VLZ mixer to the camera. When I get a few more bucks ahead, I intend to buy at least one more Sony ECM-44B lavalier microphone. One drawback is the fact that you must use the battery rather than phantom power. I am using rechargeable AA batteries to overcome this problem.
