Sony X3000 4K Waterproof Action Camera With Remote

I am using this waterproof remote on my fishing charters. I have the camera mounted on the mast, and when the action heats up... I just push the button and put it in my pocket or setting it down knowing it is not getting messed up. My customers are so happy to get digital video of all their action. I reccomend this with the Pentax camera with the GPS.

Great addition to the FDR-X3000 Action camera, screwed on underneath if you want to vlog with the camera. Unfortunately, this un-powered mics don't work with the C100. So check to make sure this works with your camera. Otherwise, great quality nicely made.

I had to write a review for this thing as is definitely one of the better units I have purchased. No1 thing to do when receiving this unit is do the firmware updates FIRST! This is crucial. It took me some time to figure it out and get everything paired up properly. Beware the cables supplied. There are a few that look identical but for some reason don't quite work the same or I had a bad one as at first I couldn't get any transmission between the gimbal and the wireless motion controller. Once I got it all up and running, the unit functions amazingly. The motion remote is brilliant and the gimbal responds flawlessly to your movements. I can't wait to try it at an airshow next year. Now something I did discover is that although it says the unit is mainly for DSLRs and larger cameras, i got it working with my Sony PXW-Z90V 4k video camera using the Sony cable. I just wish they made the cables a tad longer, but it worked by mounting the transmitter on top of the camera so it was closer to the Sony's Multi port on the side. Voila. It works. I can't attest to other cameras but I imagine any Sony with a multi control port should work. Caution: it must be a camera that has continuous HDMI as some of the Sony 4k handycams disable the HDMI out when recording in 4k. The PXW-Z90V thankfully has option to output to external monitor in the camera settings. Pros: Very well made gimbal. Strong and sturdy. Lovely motion control remote. Nice carry case. Cons: Gimbal takes some time to setup and firmware updates take a while. Limited phone compatibility. My Note 20 Ultra did not work with the app. Only 5hrs battery life on the motion control remote, less if you are powering other things with the USB out. Cables supplied could be a bit longer. Other than the few cons I am VERY happy with the unit. For quick setup I labeled the necessary cables. I honestly don't know why there are bad reviews. A bit of time and patience and it's a lovely unit.

Use for action video camera and accessories. Waterproof, dustproof, lightweight, indestructible.

I'm a reluctant GoPro customer because Sony stopped making their awesome Action Cams. The good...video is fantastic, stabilization is very good (though electronic vs. optical), color is decent. The 10 is well suited for my primary use of skiing and mountain biking. The bad...it is heavier, bigger, and clunkier than the Sony FDR-X3000 so that has taken some getting used to, but I have been using a SNAP Mount for skiing (no chesty) and that system is awesome. GoPro is known for being unreliable but so far I haven't had too many issues. I did update the firmware without issue. Since I use this in a cold environment I plan on using the optional pass thru battery door to use an external power bank. News flash, every small cam overheats when shooting 4K for long periods so I don't think it is a fair knock on GoPro. Although I had really hoped Sony would update their awesome X3000, the GoPro has been a pleasant surprise despite the clunky form factor.

I did not expect this much from an $ action camera and I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. When I received the camera the first thing that I noticed was the surprising amount of accessories: a waterproof case, 2 adhesive mounts, 1 extra backdoor with slits for sound recording, 1 Car mount/case (intended for mounting on tripods and cars. it has a clip on the back and screw holes in the top and bottom for mounting purposes), 4 different mounts for the waterproof case, 2 zip ties, 1 wall to camera charging cable, and 1 6-inch metal mounting cable.Most of the mounts are compatible with GoPro cameras. As for the camera, the videos look amazing. Contrast is a little slow but not a problem. There are many quality, sharpness, and contrast settings in the menu (which by the way is very easy to use). The outside of the camera is made of plastic but it does not feel cheap. The camera also takes time lapse videos and can act as a motion detecting security camera. The camera takes good still photos for an action camera but if you just want to take pictures not videos you should look into a different camera. Pros: Easy to use, good quality, so many mounts!, waterproof case makes for some amazing underwater footage, extra wide angle lens, time lapse, 95 minute battery life, good dash cam, can connect to pc and act as a webcam, does not feel cheap.Cons: 720P 60Fps is not actually 60fps. It is 30fps that doubles every frame. No slow motion.

I use this as a back up battery to the one that came with my Sony Action Cam (and it less expensive than the Sony one that came with the camera).

I love to shoot heavy Shorebreak and this Waterproof case can handle some heavy action!

Maybe not intended but this camera opens a new world for nature photography!!!. It is rugged, waterproof and can be remote controlled. Time lapse option is also useful leaving the camera to take pictures for hours. I love this thing!!!! (just please extend wireless remote control range
