Soprano Recorder Early Instruments

I normally use my MixPre 6 II as my primary recorder for violin, cello, and other musical instruments. However, setting up the MixPre is always a hassle, and I don't like how it has to be powered. When something requires too much time and effort, there's a tendency to hesitate in using it. Since getting this recorder, I can start my recordings within a matter of seconds (literally). I can easily bring it anywhere, and it has become my preferred device for sound recording. The sound quality with the built-in mic is excellent, comparable to the MixPre II (of course depending on the mic you use). It is better than the Zoom H6 I used to own, especially for recording musical instruments. I also have the DJI MIC 2, which is excellent for voice and highly portable. However, when it comes to recording musical instruments, it falls short compared to the PCM-A10. 5 |

A fantastic value for the money. From beginner to expert musician can have so much fun and enjoyment with this recorder type instrument. Also great that it uses the recorder base for the fingering and is very intuitive. Being able to change keys, makes it fantastic for playing with transposing instruments. The 10 different voices : two being oriental instruments the other eight being western add to its flexibility. For instance, the Trumpet voice can be shifted lower so that it sounds and can play the range of the trombone. , 5 |

I purchased the Zoom H6N in early July 2013 from B&H Photo Video. When I tell you this fine piece of equipment performs... it PERFORMS! It has an awesomely durable body. The back and the front of the H6N is metallic, but the sides are coated with a rubber-like material that is great for an easy grip. It fits nicely in the hands, and it feels comfortable to hold. Not to mention the convenience of the side buttons along with the rotary button. I like the fact that it has a remote control input which is optional; even though I feel like it should have came with the recorder for the price that I paid. The weight of the machine is perfect for hauling around sound equipment. It is light and durable with a black finish and you cant overlook the vibrant colored screen! I love this recorder; it is user-friendly and I can not wait to use it for movie productions. I recommend the Zoom H6N to anyone who wants to capture quality audio! 5 |

irreplaceable in performing soprano.it makes music so clear that I can see every detail of song and just feel like being in a middle size studio.however?it doesn't suit rock and roll 5 |

I really like this mic. I've got a soprano that can literally overdrive a standard microphone but this Bate 87 appears to handle her voice with clarity. I would recommend this mic to anyone. 5 |

Securely holds my soprano sax and attaches/detaches quickly and easily to my Hercules alto/tenor stand. I like that it's adjustable up/down and won't damage my horn's finish. This should be obvious, but I'll mention that this peg will work only for a straight soprano sax. 5 |

Just bought a new straight P Mauriaut Soprano. The K&M securely supports the sax, practically impossible to tip, and fits into the bell inside the case. It protrudes about 1/4”, but still works. Just check your clearance at the bell to make sure it works with your particular case. 5 |

Works for what I wanted, a mic to tame soprano saxophone recordings. Sounds great. The figure of 8 pick up pattern presents a challenges for my application, but it still works. 5 |

I bought this case to store my curved soprano saxophone. The case is lighter than the protector series, yet retains all the strength. The latches are more like the ones on a storm case with the button to push to open them. Very happy with this case, and am sure it will last a lifetime. 5 |
