Soul Jazz Records Presents Studio One Kings

I write this from the perspective of a touring Jazz/R&B/Soul/Funk singer: The Shure RPW184 Condenser Replacement Element (KSM9 Microphone Transmitter - Black) with the first application, demonstrated its prowess, and exceeded ALL my expectations of live handheld wireless condenser microphones. Most notably, the ability to switch between cardioid and super cardioid modes is an amazing and highly desireable feature! I give this product my full endorsement! My vocal stylings demand the best reproduction and RF signal quality/strength. The KSM9 delivers!

To all my associates; I am a jazz player and singer and I have a home studio for my recording projects. After a few years with large capsule condenser microphones, 3 to be exact, I have found the ribbon microphone to be the best for my type of vocal. For the price of the MXL 144 it has a great natural sound and the highs are not rough. Just a little EQ for your personal taste. I ordered a pre amp but found I did not need it for my recording system. I run it directly into my Tascam US-1641. Eventual I will update to the more expensive models.

Building a photo studio in a residential setting presents challenges. One of mine was the white interior. Every flash meant reflected light everywhere. No good shadows in that environment. These Rotagrids are the perfect answer. I use one on the Octabox and this one on the Stripbox all the time. Walls behind the subject? No more light! Now I can light a dark background myself instead of seeing how it looked in all the reflected light. Bravo Elinchrom! I have a Rotagrid on each of my boxes now. The more you read about grid lighting, the more you want these.

This is perfect for getting studio quality audio without having to sync any audio in post, plus it records separate audio as a back up, SAVES LOTS OF TIME WHEWWWWW.

I'm a musician who performs and records, and K&M stands are my favorite by far for live situations and in the studio. The construction is solid and reliable, and when you pay a little more for something because it's made better you tend to take care of it more, and I definitely have with the first K&M stand I purchased almost 3 years ago. My only issue, but I find this with most mic stands, is that the joint where the boom meets the stand never seems to get tight enough to support a large capsule condenser. But, like I said, most stands I've come across gradually droop a bit and overtightening just ruins the rubber gasket. K&M is my new favorite stand!

This mic has been used on some of the most iconic records out there, it works wonderfully in podcast situations, as well as recording live and studio. It’s incredible for churches who are now adjusting to recorded worship scenarios.

I use this for in-studio video in my recording studio. It records beautifully at lower light levels. The ability to record 2 formats at once is a time saver. It is compact, light and all the functions are easy to learn. The battery takes a long time to charge.

It lights my way through the darkness of life. And. It can be recharged. Like my soul.
