Soundbar Vs Bluetooth Speaker For Music

A great TV Speaker (Soundbar) `for the price. Theater quality sound from the speaker alone. It also has bluetooth capability, so it can be used to stream music with that great BOSE quality sound. Definitely recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hadn’t ever used a soundbar prior to this one, but I recently bought a second TV for my home on sale that looks great but has terrible built-in speakers, so I was excited to try this soundbar with it. Saying it’s a huge upgrade would be an understatement. First of all, it was easy to connect to my TV with the optical cable, and it fits nicely on my (sort of crowded) entertainment center. It looks great, and it sounds even better. I love watching movies with great musical scores, and the great sound quality that this soundbar offers is a must. The Bluetooth functionality is a great bonus, too - I love being able to play music off my phone without having to bring a separate Bluetooth speaker into the room. I didn’t realize before how much this soundbar would improve my enjoyment of movies and music, but now that I’ve used it, I couldn’t be happier with it.

I struggled between four and five stars on this soundbar. I settled on 5 because it works well for light working music and web conferences, and fits *really* well in the space below my monitors. But it does have a few annoyances and limitations. The size and fit worked really well for my home office desk. I was strongly considering the Mackie CR2-X Bar PRO, but the CR SteathBar fit my space better just due to the feet on the soundbar: The StealthBar came with two feet options with different heights. The pair of feet with more clearance allowed me to place the speaker bar right above the monitor base. Awesome. Sound quality I am mixed on. Anything in the vocal range is actually quite good. Highs and lows are a bit limited. Not necessarily bad, but maybe could have been a bit better. But I purchased these for conferences and light music it's fine for that application. I always planned to use my headphones when I really want music and this isn't going to change that. The USB connectivity works well from my Windows PC. However, in USB mode when the speaker is first turned on but before the PC plays any sound, there is a noticeable white noise. It goes away once sound is played and does not return until the next power cycle. It's a minor issue, but is there. Others have complained about the voice notifications (e.g. Power On) being overly loud. Yes, they are. But the level is more of a mild annoyance than an issue. Louder than anything else I will play on the speaker, but not 'cover your ears' loud. Of course I could have spent more money on something larger that would have had better sound quality, but that wasn't really my goal. For what I need, these work quite well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The XE300 Portable Bluetooth Speaker isn't over sized but it provides a great surround sound with your music. Love how easy it was to pair with my iPhone with little effort. Immediately started playing the music I had open on my phone. Battery lasts a long time for multiple uses.

I easily set this speaker up to be used via a Bluetooth connector so that my company's Executive Leader could have easy to use music. Although AirPlay does work, having the Bluetooth input via an Audioengine B1 makes life a lot easier for my Executive. Once accepted, I immediately added a second Play Five as well as the Sub to make a powerful system that frankly rivals any fully engineered setup. Updates are easily performed and the sound quality continues to impress the user.

The base is amazing and the sound is very clear. The speaker itself is also sturdy. I love that it's a usb-c charger because that how most of the devices in my room charge. This thing is perfect for an outdoor party where you really need the music to project. I've been using it in a larger garage, and I barely have to turn it up. I havre some other bluetooth speakers that I like, but if you need legitimate volume, this is your speaker. The build quality is also extremely nice, it feels very solid, and the handle is super sturdy and great for hanging on a random hook when playing music. Overall, I can't recommend this speaker enough, if you are looking for something louder than your typical bluetooth speaker that will project a good distance, and deliver huge bass, this is perfect!

Perfect for a basic setup. I use it for just a 2 speaker phono setup to play vinyl, and I can still Bluetooth music from our phones. I only wish the speaker wire connectors would accept banana plugs.
