Speaker Pattern Setting On Sony Receiver With 7.1

This is a truly useful item for setting up powered speakers on the road. Usually I place the powered speakers close to an outlet in the corner of the stage and/or hall. This 6' length is perfect for such a setting. In addition I use Alto wireless receivers to cut down on XLR cables - this multiple outlet allows me to power the speaker, the wireless receiver and a DJ light all at the same time. What's really cool is - when the speaker, or light or receiver is on, an LED indicator light lets you know something is turned on. When everything is turned off, the LED light goes off too. So I know when I've forgotten to turn of the speaker at the end of the night. This outlet is built tough and can take the abuse of the road - I highly recommend them for powered speakers!

I purchased two of these late in November and along with a Sony center speaker and sony receiver and have enjoyed the sound quality.

Great 7.1 receiver. Took a little time to tweak in my home theater, but a worthy replacement for my Sony AV receiver. Will add a second sub woofer in coming months. With new blu-ray releases with Dolby Atmos, this Pioneer rocks!

I wanted to add a sub to get extra base to go along with my Sony 7.1 soundbar, I'm so glad I did.

The speaker has a nice bass sound. It pairs well with the Sony 5.1 receiver with the RCA cord (included) . It has a power save switch on the back. You can leave it on all the time, or you can have it "click" off when there is no signal. Sometimes when the volume is low it clicks on and off during a single song depending on the strength of the bass signal. This can be fixed by just leaving it on all the time. I have a multi-plug surge protector to turn everything off when not in use.

I purchased this speaker and paired it with the Sony 2 channel 100w receiver and I am very impressed with the sound, bass, volume and clarity. I have been complimented on this speaker so many times and can't wait to pair it with the 2nd Klipsch Rock Speaker.

Used 4 of these for my last set of interviews. Sound excellent and the cardinal pattern prevented adjacent speaker cross-talk.

Just installed the receiver after my previous Sony Receiver started to act up after 35 years. Like the Bluetooth feature. Also, Phonograph Support like my previous receiver.

Sony STR-DH590 5.2-Channel A/V Receiver is a verry nice receiver at a great price, easy to hook up and gives great sound, just what I was looking for.
