Speakers For Outdoor Events

Great speakers. Just what we needed for our outdoor events. Good sound and easy to handle and set up. Well-built, too. BUT the metal grills on the front are very easy to dent and ding, so the speakers should be handled and stored very carefully to avoid cosmetic damage to the grills if you're concerned about their appearance. If you're not concerned about how they look, just go ahead and manhandle them. They'll still sound great.

We are a church and needed speakers for outdoor events, parties, dancing, picnics for about 100 to 200 folks. I called a friend who happens to install home sound and video systems in high end homes, big dollar systems and asked him what I should get. He turned me on to QSC and narrowed it down to the CP12 series for our application. There were other speakers that did more stuff but my friend the audio expert said Get the tool that does the main job very well and not all the gingerbread, it will last a lot longer. I did and wow the speakers sound great!!!

I use these stands for my outdoor events using 50# speakers. They go up and down with ease and project the sound further than a 6' stand with the same volume level. They have a large footprint for windy conditions which is a great safety feature. I use the leveling leg most of the time and it is a great addition to the stand. Pay the extra for the leg and you won't regret it.

I use it for events and oral history interviews. Events include plays and speakers. I love the detachable handles that add XLR capability. The problem with small size is that there are fewer knobs and buttons on the exterior.
