Spectrum 400 Mbps Modems With Linksys Router

Easy setup (only small delay was with Spectrum activation), great speed (400 Mbps service) and coverage, easy to connect more devices - a great upgrade from our prior modem router! 5 |

Delivers over 260 mbps in my home cable linksys / mesh wifi setup, without getting into advanced network tweaking, etc. Plug in and run speed test... that's all 5 |

.After upgrading to Xfinity (Comcast) 1 Gig speed tier, I needed a new modem to take advantage. I originally purchased a Motorola MB8600. While the Motorola was indeed fast (spoiler alert: faster than the Arris S33), the Motorola was hugely unstable and unreliable on Xfinity/Comcast (Google it - you'll see its a huge problem). The Motorola was either locking up or losing Internet connection about 5-10 minutes every hour or two! Egads! It was horrible. So Motorola was returned. Enter the Arris SURFboard S33. It activated smoothly and has been rock solid for me on Xfinity/Comcast. It is also a very small modem. The box photos make it *look* large - but it is in fact only 6 x 6 x 2 thick. Quite compact and smaller than most DOCSIS 3.1 modems. It is fast...but, if to be honest it is slower than the MB8600 I had right before this one. My plan is rated at 1000 Mbps down and 40 Mbps up. The Motorola topped out at a very impressive 1014 Mbps down and 41.6 Mbps up. The S33 topped out at 933 Mbps down and 41.7 Mbps up. I ran tests on both modems probably 30 times at all different times of days and night. The above are my best scores. The S33 is consistently about 8-9% slower download speeds compared to the MB8600. But...reliability and stability are far more important than a marginal top-end speed difference. The only other (slight) negative is that the S33 runs a bit warmer than both my older SURFboard model and the Motorola MB8600. It's not hot per se, but does run warmer than maybe most modems. Just make sure to give it good ventilation and it should be fine. 5 |

I was upgraded speed wise by my ISP, and getting close to 70 Mbps with their modem when I was paying for 100. After a little research I found that the MB7220 cost less that a years rent. When I saw it was compatible with Spectrum protocols, I purchased it. Install was simple and as soon as I called Spectrum with the MAC Address numbers I was on line with 117 Mbps using Speedtest.net as a measuring tool. 5 |

Just upgraded our internet and got rid of cable switching from spectrum (100 Mbps) to WOW (1 gbps) internet. Ran a few speed tests and only ever managed to top out at around 700 Mbps. Switched over to this Netgear modem and got rid of the wow provided one and now Im getting 950 Mbps. Love it and highly recommend! 5 |

Awsome...this router was an upgrade from a very old linksys router. There is no way to compair this. The wifi 7 is blazing fast. There is only one down side and that is the wifi 7 range, but thats where the wifi 6 comes in. 5 |

I bought this and the nighthawk router, paired together they work great and I’m getting more MBPS than I am even paying for! 5 |

Replaced a 6 year old linksys wireless router with this unit. My first time with a mesh system. Setup was very easy. All devices connected quickly. Internet throughput is so much better with this unit. I am using Verizon 5G home internet with this router. Getting nearly 300 mbps download consistently. I get a strong wifi signal all over my house (3300 sq ft) and outside. I am very happy with this unit. 5 |
