I am not an IT or computer wiz. Was tired of paying Comcast rental fees for using their cable modem. Did some research and decided on the cm1000 based on reviews and number of reviews. Installed easily. Called Comcast, talked to their activation people, submitted new modem MAC address and was online a short time later. No problems to date. I would recommend this modem. 5 |

Replaced xfinity modem/router and now don’t have to pay the monthly fees. Probably way more powerful than our 1800sq ft house needs, but every inch of our house has reliable super fast internet. We were looking to buy our own cable modem to eliminate the monthly rental fee. We needed one that would handle the 1.2 GPBS service and have a landline phone connection. This was listed on the Xfinity site as being compatible and meeting our requirements. It was simple to swap out our old modem/router and replace it with this and a separate router. The instructions were easy to follow and everything was up and running in a relatively short time. So far, we're very happy with the speed and reliability. 5 |
