Got this for backups. But then the Samsung T7 I got was so slow I decided to use that for backups instead. This spinning disk drive is actually faster than the Samsung SSD! It's the most utterly stupid thing Samsung ever did with the T7. The T5 was a solid performer, the T7 a dud that can be lapped by a normal old hard drive! Anyway, this works exceptionally well for a bus powered spinning disk. I keep all my projects saved here when travelling, then I make copies to a disk array when back at home base. My only gripe is that I wish it was USB C. 5 |

After having great luck over the years with WD Passport (spinning disk) drives and then trying a WD external SSD (which has had multiple issues), I returned to obtain another of the Passport (disk) drives with which I've had much success over the years. 5 |

Fed up with spinning disk HDDs failing as an annual event I decided to finally invest in a large SSD during a black friday sale. This Extreme Pro is actually my second one, I grabbed a smaller capacity Extreme non-pro a couple years back. The performance is outstanding on a current gen Mac (which dont always play nice with spinning hdds). USBC ssds like this also play well with ipads on the go. The higher transfer speeds of the pro are definitely worth the extra price as any choke point can slow the whole system down. 10/10 for these sandisk products. Watch for a sale as they happen often. 5 |

M.2 is a big deal. It's as much faster than traditional SATA SSD as SATA SSD is to a spinning disk. Editing 4k video has never been smoother! 5 |

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital. 5 |
