Sport Video Camera Waterproof

I do occasional video for a newpaper I freelance for. I use a little Kodak sport video camera, and I was trying to come up with a solution in which I could shoot both video and stills at the same time or at least be able to switch back and forth easily without all the juggling of equipment. I got the Vello flash bracket and an adjustable hot shoe adapter. The bracket is solid and good quality. Just what I was looking for.

I bought this camera for two things. To video dogs I was grooming and to video dogs I was training. I use these videos for training new employee purposes as well as for the customers enjoyment. I've already posted one on my YouTube channel. It does come with a non waterproof back to the waterproof camera case so you can record sound better. Perfect for what I'm doing. I'm not going to submerse the camera but it may get splashed a bit when bathing a dog. It should be splash proof even with the slotted back on it. I attached it to a chest harness while I was grooming and that worked out much better than a helmet cam would have. You can see clearly everything my hands are doing. And because it's attached to a chest harness it's right under my chin so picks up sound well. Surprisingly it was not in my way at all, although I looked a bit odd with it on. I make a lot of content centered around the sport of rowing, and lately I've started using the Track E as a means of getting audio from the boat for use in videos recorded from a motorized boat following them. I previously used on-camera audio, but that was always drowned out by the marine engines on the follow boats. Having audio coming from the boat itself (specifically the coxswain) has been a game-changer. The software is also super simple to use, effortlessly matching 1-2 hour audio clips to a variety of shorter video clips shot during the same time. I can then take those clips into my NLE and treat them as though the audio was originally a part of the video, with no need to further sync the audio data. I did have one issue with one of my units where Bluetooth stopped working, but Tentacle's handling of the replacement process instilled me with a lot of confidence in their company and product and I will definitely be continuing to use these for my content!

Wish it had everything for the sport channels.....

I love this little black box. It does video, pictures, it is waterproof and lightweight. I only wish I had purchased one sooner.
