I use it with portrait and landscape plan on using with sports photography also. Focuses fairly fast and spot on. Not too heavy for short periods but wouldn't want to wear around my neck all day. Really love the photos it takes crisp and clear. I use it on my new Nikon D7000. 5 |

I've been shooting sports now for several years and have recently decided to get in to portrait photography. I purchased this set to handle my first off camera lights and am very pleased with what I've been able to do so far - adding indirect light sources to the subjects that I'm shooting and softening the light hitting the subject. Extremely well made and easy to setup. One word of caution - with the size of the umbrella, you will want to use sandbags to stabilize the legs. I had read this in an article about lighting and was glad that I had the sandbags at hand - once setup on the posts extending from the stand to the floor, it is rock solid. You will not regret this purchase. 5 |

I purchased this product because I do a lot of sports photography in portrait mode. The grip feels much better in my hand. The buttons are natural and work well. The batter holder that slides in and out is a little cheap compared to my other Canon battery grips so time will tell. 5 |
