Spot Detector Water Leak Alarm

I have purchased the Life Saver Bag hoping to lighten my load when I traveled to a location for a shoot. I was going to return it thinking it wasn't going to work well. I am so glad that I kept it. You can use water or sand to fill up the Life Saver. I have chose to use water. I would fill up the life saver at the location and dump the water out afterwards making it easier for me to move it around. If there is no running water at the location, I will fill the Life Saver with water before leaving and put it in to a small plastic box just incase it does decide to leak and then I dump the water out afterwards. So far I had this Life Saver for about a year and have not had it leak on me yet. I use the bag to stabilize my c-stand for my wireless strobe. Couldn't be happier.

Here is the most important thing you will need to know... IT WORKS! Putting your 5D Mark III into a body of water with a $2500 dollar lens and a flash does not feel natural in any way the first time you ease it into the water. But life is life and if it was going to leak I was going to find out the hard way, It did not leak. Humidity packets that came with it got rid of fog. The only tricky thing is that you really need to dial in your settings before getting in there, or use it on full auto. I shoot in Pools in Manual and it worked fine with a bit of going back and adjusting settings again. Direct flash looks terrible underwater as it does above water, so I am still not sure I will use flash again for my underwater needs. Great thing is I can turn flash on and off through the housing anyways so, not a big deal to have there just in case. The plastic does warp your lcd image and makes it look cloudy, the first time I thought everything looked terrible until I took it out of the thick plastic housing. Bottom line, this works, and the company that makes it guarantees your gear in case of manufacturing failure. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT!

I got a good copy. Spot on SHARP focusing at 1.4 which blows my old Nikon 1.4g out of the water. Feels good to put trust in a lens that delivers sharp images. My only complaint is size/weight but if you hold it right it’s a very comfortable setup

The first week after I purchased my ZEISS 10x42 Victory SF T* Binoculars I was walking by a small pond where I live in Florida at dusk. An insect hatch was in progress. Purple Martins were aerially feasting on the bugs as they emerged from the water. I feasted on the absolute best close up viewing of the event in my life. I have owned Zeiss 8X42 bins for more than 10 years now and the order of improved viewing is significantly better by a factor of 4.The shimmer of purple light streaking in front of me was pitch perfect visible. Precisely why I purchased these Bins. I had hesitated to make the expensive purchase (I am retired) but after chatting about a new pair with my optometrist, who is also a birder, he simply pointed to all the optical equipment in his office and said - Zeiss. Given I have the time to take walks on a daily basis, and that my older pair of Zeiss Bins didn't quite cut it when I walked along the beaches in the Venice area, that was when I considered upgrading to 10X42. Total satisfaction. And as advertised, my new bins surpass any I've owned over the years for the first half-hour before sunrise and the last-half-hour after sunset. One final real world experience with them given their focus range and ability to look way out and then quickly close in. Just after dawn I was viewing distant birds in a wetland on a nature Reserve, standing 15 feet from the water line. It is March. Alligators in Florida mate in March. I am aware of this and always position myself cautiously near water. The grumble/rumble sound of a big bull had me focus in immeditaely near the shore, easily spot a pair of gator eyes and move decidely, quickly backwards out of the social/distance/range of the gator. Maybe Zeiss designed binoculars originally to spot uboats/periscopes in WWI & WWII. I was able to quickly spot a reptilian threat of a nearly submerged G-boat if you will.

Color is easy to spot in the water. Can float and handle the weight of camera but still go under water easy enough to get pictures

I've never used this before and I'm pleasantly surprised. I got a spot of water on it and it left a mark and I thought I'd have to print again, but it dried and the spot went away.
