I'd been looking for a stereo receiver to incorporate with my existing sound system and this Tree Receiver fit the bill.

i bought this stereo Receiver to replace my old receiver that i gave to my son i was looking for something that used just two speakers and maybe i could connect my sub woofer to it this was the one i could afford plus sony makes good products so i bought this on and i really like it

Use the headphones at my computer to listen to Pandora, Spotify, my iTunes library, YouTube, etc. With a little volume behind them, sounds are pretty clear, good stereo separation. Over-ear cups provide fairly good outside sound prevention. Comes with two jacks for mp3/computer and for stereo receiver. Coiled cord is handy. Headphones somewhat warm, but so far comfortable for a couple of hours at a time. Gave them 5 stars because they are a very good headphone for the money.

Sounds good for the price and satisfies my needs for a portable speaker. EQ is nice for dampening the bass a bit (or you can go with the defaults for a fuller boomy sound). As a single source, you're not going to hear amazing stereo sound out of this device (even if it was redesigned with stereo tweeters). But it's clearer than an entry level speaker I was using previously. The full suite of streaming options is really nice. I usually play Spotify directly on the device, configured from the Spotify app. However, I hosted a party and easily linked this with other speakers from other manufacturers over AirPlay 2. I used a KEF, BlueSound, and this Sonos in different rooms for lag-free immersive sound around the entire house.

At the moment I have one Play 5 in my lounge running my Spotify and Pandora through it, and am hoping to soon add another to make a stereo pair. Eventually I see this expanding out to a multi room system.

This is a very bare-bones receiver, but it's exactly what I needed as someone who exclusively listens to music either on vinyl, or via my laptop using Spotify/iTunes. I play music through two Bose 201 bookshelf speakers, and this is more than enough to power them at 100w/channel. It's an incredible price, and a great receiver for those of us who like keeping it simple.
