I received product in intact state. It works very well. Data transfer is very fast. I copied/past 1.1 GB of data from my laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad e550 with core i7 & 16 GB RAM) to microSD via this card reader/writer & operation needed only 36 seconds to be completed. Let we talk about hot point: I saw many reviewers on B&H & Amazon complaining about plugin port of this device to it's USB cable, said that it is very delicate & vulnerable to detachment from motherboard of this card reader & it is very bad .... & so on !! And I was very hesitated to order this card reader due to these FALSE reviews from non-verified buyers ...... But finally, I was brave enough to order it. Now, I can confirm that ALL these negative reviews are incorrect & false! The point where this card reader connected to it's cable is okay! I tried it (connected & disconnected for 13 times) & no problem at all. I tried data transfer after each of these 13 times without any problem. Please appreciate that this device is a pocket card reader not an armored vehicle!! If you deal with it as an armored vehicle, then it will certainly broken in your hand due to your harsh handling! If you handle it smoothly, as it should be, then no problem at all. If you connect/disconnect cable USB cable from this device gently then it will never broken. But, if you do this as if you play rope pull game, then it will certainly damaged - due to your faulty handling! I would like to thank B&H store to make this great card reader available in between my hands. No such card readers with such broad compatibility available in my country, Iraq. I recommend this card readers for every one need to make it's PC of ideal accessories. Finally, it is better for B&H to remove all negative non-verified reviews because they are as simple as such all are false!

This worked extremely well for a USB 3.1 Gen 2 device. I got the Lexar 64 gold CFExpress cards with the small Lexar card reader. The card reader got so hot you could fry an egg on it. B&H recommended the Sony reader, and it was fast, and the cards were still cool to the touch. Great product for all Nikon shooters.

This little device reads my UHS-II cards very fast. And it also reads USH-I cards faster than my old card reader or the one integrated in my laptop. Hard to beat it for the price.

I use both standard SD and microSD cards in my various devices, and this one handles them both... simultaneously! Nice not having to stick my microSD card into an SD adapter, and then into a card reader. The ability to access both cards simultaneously lets me transfer data between cards without having to copy the files to my PC first. The read is made out of aluminum, and feels solid. There is a rubber cover to protect the slots from getting dirt in them, which is really nice when I carry the reader in my backpack. The rubber cover dangles from the reader via a small piece of rubber when the slots are exposed (see photo), and I'm worried that it will break off one day (though it is fine for the 1 week I've been using it). The standard SD slot is a little tight, so I have to push to get the card to insert. The microSD card slot operates much smoother. The standard SD card protrudes from the reader when inserted, so the rubber cover has to remain open. The microSD card is pretty flush (it is a spring-loaded click-type of slot), so you can close the rubber cover with a microSD card inserted. The device comes with cables that allow you to connect the device to a standard USB-A port (standard port on a PC), and a USB-C port (which is what I have on my phone). This is great, because I can use this reader to upload photos from the microSD card in my camera, directly to my phone. It would be nice if the rubber cover was secured better, but otherwise, this is a really great little device!

The hard drive crashed on my laptop a while ago and when I replaced it, for whatever reason my card reader didn't work. I tried online fixes first and nothing worked. I finally decided to cave and buy this device and it works like a charm! Worked as soon as it was plugged in. It would have saved me a lot of time (and money in time) to just get this in the first place, since it's such an inexpensive device.
