This is an authentic Apple card to iPhone reader for iPhone 15 or higher, or any iPad with a USB-C connection. Simple to use. 5 |

Your mileage may vary. Warning: The rest of this review is a total geekshow, on how to test the cards and get good speeds out of your PC. I tested them on a late model Dell XPS 15, 9570, running Win10 PRO 64, using the OEM internal card reader. Cards were tested using the excellent H2Testw v1.4 shareware. However, I found the speed to be very sensitive to format and partition parameters. One of my cards was ghastly slow out of the box. (66 MB/S read & write) It took some digging around to find that the format parameters were the same but the offset on the disk partitions was not. I repartitioned the slow card with an offset of 16384kb, using the DISKPART utility and then formatted exFAT with allocation unit size of 128kb to match the good card. That worked. Note: Formatting the card in my EM-1 produced a usable but slow card. Formatting it as described above producced a card my EM-1 could use and that blazed when reading back files. It also seems that maximum read and write speeds depend on driver and firmware updates, especially when using an external USB card reader. Of course, you have to have a UHS-II reader to get the full speeds. It may not be worth the hassle to tweak everything up right, but the cards do perform very well if you do. (the spec sheet only promises 80/250. So getting 100/250 was a nice surprise) For these kinds of speeds, there are data bottlenecks lurking everywhere. The XPS 15's internal drive had the highest speeds of the several reads and PCs I tested, so that's what I used to exercise the cards. Lessons learned: 1: Try several readers on several PCs, with different format types before you decide that a card is bad or slow. 2: when you get a fast configuration, *document* it. (I used the detail disk and detail part commands in diskpart) 5 |

Upgraded to iPhone 15 from 11 and have been looking for a wallet to use. I was on the fence between peak design and apples wallet. I wanted the find my feature of the apple. Well I was at Home Depot behind a person making a return. The cashier ask the customer to insert his credit card to get a refund. He removed his apple wallet and the proceeded to use his teeth to pull the card out. No way not me. Peak design makes it so easy to get your cards out with much more room than others. I bought the peak design wallet stand and put a Chipolo CARD inside. Now I have a stand And much better find my then apple offers. 5 |

I purchased this SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader after my laptop SD card reader failed. Ordered it from B&H overnight delivery and it arrived at 10am next day - so kudos to B&H for that. Here's my first thoughts on this SanDisk card reader: -It's fast! First time using it was able download 202 21MP photos from Import to ready to edit in the Develop module in Lightroom in 40 seconds - about 1/4 of the time required compared to my laptop's now defunct card reader. Your milage will vary. -It's USB-C 3.2 version 2 as advertised. (My Windows 11 ProArt Studio laptop does have a USB-C 4 Thunderbolt input. However Thunderbolt card readers cost $200-$300 or more, which was more than I was willing to pay, so this SanDisk reader was a happy compromise. Nevertheless, plugged it into the Thunderbolt port to attain the download speed I mentioned above). -Build quality. The case is made of rugged ribbed aluminum that I think will stand up exceptionally well in a busy office environment. It also looks 'professional' as it not constructed of cheap looking plastic. On the bottom of the case there are four small rubber feet that should stop it from sliding around on a desk like plastic card readers are wont to do. Finally, and this is a big plus for this Sandisk card reader compared to another plasticky 'Top Seller' sold for the same price, the several times I have use it so far it never became too hot to touch or to remove the SD card from it. It's one cool dude, in fact. - Size wise, it's roughly the size of a business card though maybe an inch longer. And if you require more than one I believe SanDisk offers a raid style enclosure to accommodate up to four. My conclusion: This SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader is very fast, well built, looks professional and stays cool to the touch. So, would I recommend it to a friend. Absolutely! 5 |
