I just got the card a few days before I got the EOS R5. I have used it for 2 days and everything works well including the card reader. I'm happy with my purchase.

I purchased this SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader after my laptop SD card reader failed. Ordered it from B&H overnight delivery and it arrived at 10am next day - so kudos to B&H for that. Here's my first thoughts on this SanDisk card reader: -It's fast! First time using it was able download 202 21MP photos from Import to ready to edit in the Develop module in Lightroom in 40 seconds - about 1/4 of the time required compared to my laptop's now defunct card reader. Your milage will vary. -It's USB-C 3.2 version 2 as advertised. (My Windows 11 ProArt Studio laptop does have a USB-C 4 Thunderbolt input. However Thunderbolt card readers cost $200-$300 or more, which was more than I was willing to pay, so this SanDisk reader was a happy compromise. Nevertheless, plugged it into the Thunderbolt port to attain the download speed I mentioned above). -Build quality. The case is made of rugged ribbed aluminum that I think will stand up exceptionally well in a busy office environment. It also looks 'professional' as it not constructed of cheap looking plastic. On the bottom of the case there are four small rubber feet that should stop it from sliding around on a desk like plastic card readers are wont to do. Finally, and this is a big plus for this Sandisk card reader compared to another plasticky 'Top Seller' sold for the same price, the several times I have use it so far it never became too hot to touch or to remove the SD card from it. It's one cool dude, in fact. - Size wise, it's roughly the size of a business card though maybe an inch longer. And if you require more than one I believe SanDisk offers a raid style enclosure to accommodate up to four. My conclusion: This SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader is very fast, well built, looks professional and stays cool to the touch. So, would I recommend it to a friend. Absolutely!

I've used it twice so far, and I saw a marked improvement in speed over my old card reader. I'm happy with the purchase. For no more than I use it, I really don't mind the covering over the card slots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pro Ultimate SD is a handy, fast, and portable SD card with a reader that can be used anywhere. I have a dash cam and like to keep that memory clear so I often remove in between drives and upload all data from my trips. I do not own a desktop computer so this is a great product for my laptop. The first time used and without knowing what to expect I plugged it in and walked away thinking it would take a while however with the 200mb/s it took next to nothing. I was grateful and really surprised. My cellphone also has alot of pictures in which they always try to get me to purchase more storage. With this product, I removed alot of photos from my phone to free up space and was surprised I still had so much space left with it being 128 GB. It's to the point now where I am just finding things to upload to the card. Having the reader come with the sd card is a game changer as usually you would have to purchase both parts separately. I am not a person who usually pay attention to storage space and with this product, I can confidently say I really don't have to as this product has everything I need and more. It also helps that Samsung is my favorite brand!!!!!!!
